Someone in match day thread recently said that they are hoping for a 1-1 tonight. It just goes to show how far the LVG era has lowered our expectations.

2-3 years ago we'd fully expect to beat these nobodies by 6-7 goals over two legs. Sad times.

It's the fans. The glory hunters are feeling itchy. The amount of times I have heard that success is the basis of our club. You would think we were Madrid with a club run by players.

I don't think I've seen you make a single statement yet that hasn't been immoderate in one way or another.

If you're a WUM, you're not bad. Not great, mind - but not bad. Part and parcel of wummery is, after all, having the Internet equivalent of an extremely puncheable face.

Only been here 15 mins and he's got a tag. Not a particularly nice tag, mind...

Even if we absolutely destroy these tonight, I doubt many people's opinions on LVG will change.
Why should they? Beating these Danish pork butchers should be the absolute bare minimum expectation for a Manchester United manager. It just goes without saying.

He has to take the blame for some of these injuries, he played everybody into the ground. Even at home in the League cup against non PL opposition he still played the first team and somehow managed to lose.

Probably our injury list will only get worse now, as the players get more and more jaded. Even now you can see they look shot after the 70th minute, no wonder we conceded so many late goals.

I'm starting to take some perverse enjoyment from the scenario the club has found itself in with this clown in charge.

Fully changed back 4, sub keeper, no captain available.

But no team should look this disorganised despite that. Clearly the training isn't good enough.

Fergie became master of just randomly throwing together formations because the training was good enough that players could just work when asked. That is gone.

I want him out like everyone else, but are we really expecting very much with Mourinho in charge? We were so glad when Moyes left and now we'll be very glad when (if) LVG leaves. There is a culture of failure that has very quickly taken hold of this club. I'm really not expecting much of anything, regardless of who we get.
Would I expect a better manager to do a better job? Yes. Who wouldn't? What's the culture of failure that cannot be eradicated with a competent manager?

He's got a good team out there tonight. There's no excuses for me. We actually seem to be getting worse each week.
That team's supposed to be 'good'?
Bloomin' heck. Half of them are West Brom standard, if that.

FC Midget gems have lost 3 of their last 6 games in their Sunday league level competition and they haven't played a competitive match since early December :lol::lol:

Just let that sink in

Currently we've absolutely nothing to lose by bringing in Mourinho and getting rid of LvG. It's quite clear, like Moyes, that he's not turning us around. We can't be any worse under Mourinho and if it goes right we could still have a decent season

Any chance the reason he hasn't been sacked is because we are after someone we can't appoint right away (Pochettino or Simeone) rather than Mourinho?

This is getting ridiculous. Not sure what more I can say as its been the same for 3 months that we have expected him to be gone.
