Signed.
Fundamentally it's a complete lack of understanding on the players part, and an inability to be felxible on Van Gaal's.
Ultimately something has to give here, but do you trust a retiring Van Gaal to rebuild a team?
Cos I don't.
Keep on this way and I'm not sure we will be in any position to challenge next year...or the year after.
Objectively, colours firmly left in your pocket, he's spent a fortune and we are going backwards...couple of points.
Firstly if it was happening to Liverpool...folk would piss themselves. Apparently LVG deserves 3 years but Klopp is already a failure. Mental.
Furthermore, it's becoming obvious that even LVG doesn't seem to know if/when this will click. His last few interviews have looked weary.
Louis, himself admits he has failed. I'm not going to disagree with him.
Very disappointed given that on his appointment I could see him taking us forward as a group.
Going forward, the next one has to be someone who can bring a real drive, plan and experience in the modern game.
He does know. It takes 3 months for players to understand the philosophy. Then it takes 1st half of the season. Then its a 3-year process. Then you become title challengers after a win. Then top 4 contenders. Then you aren't ready to win the champions league. Then you become title challengers again. Then you lose faith in the philosophy and go on a losing streak. Then you go 4 games unbeaten against relegation fodder culminating in a win against Liverpool and you are title contenders again. And then you beat a team in the division below and hammer Stoke and it's the philosophy clicking. Then you lose hope on a respectable league finish and Champions League football. Sounds legit to me. Nothing moves in a straight line.

We do realize he's not going to be sacked, don't we? He has until the end of season at least and might be gone in the Summer although I still believe it's 50/50.
In that case you must believe that our chances of making the top four is 50/50, as he obviously won't be kept on if we finish outside. The board aren't that fecking idiotic, surely.

Erm....he's still here
Perhaps someone should start a thread if it's allowed?I'd sign a few thousand times if I was able. It is crazy to see how few signatures this has though...
When you say it like that. Genuinely amazed how people thought a 3-0 win over Stoke was a sign of something huge coming, only for us to come back to our usual selves within two games.
Him being saved by 0-0 draw versus Chelsea with "I cannot leave after a performance like this" was truly comedy gold.
So obviously we all want to see us get into next years CL but realistically when do most fans believe we'll be mathematically screwed*. I still don't think we'll sack LvG until the season ends but at least then we could surely announce his successor and start the rebuilding process behind the scenes as with a major tournament in the summer we'll surely want to get our business done asap.
*I don't believe we'll win the Europa League.

I tweeted it. But I have like 20 followers.

I've given up.
Twitter going nuts with Simeone-Chelsea
Don't know if true but if so things are getting worse by the second
Great article by Daniel Harris (crediting #07 for posting it in his OP thread). LVG supporters try to understand this is how 99% of United supporters feel.

Nothing is going to get achieved now, I'm of the opinion we should sack him now and give Mourinho the remainder of the season to evaluate which players could play under him.
If the board had bollocks, he'd be gone.
Mourinho will not start this season there isnt a hoping hell I wish people would understand that, LVG is here till the end of the season for better or for worse but I have no doubt he will be replaced in the summer and that man has to be Jose

I'm starting to think there is a legitimate reason Jose has not, or may not be able to start work now. Has to be. If this is the case, we need to let Giggs have a crack until the end of the season.
Next season could be the most entertaining season in a long time.
Jose @ United
Pep @ City
Klopp @ Liverpool
Simeone @ Chelsea
Wenger @ Arsenal (not overly exciting but keeps them at the top nonetheless)
I'll go ahead and add Ranieri @ Leicester and Poch @ Spurs only because of this season's form.
Anyone else?
When you compare him with Poch who came into Spurs the same time as he came here, who has spent far less and overhauled the Spurs squad in similar fashion, and who has gotten them playing solid football and challenging for the title, it makes everything Louis has spouted about "process" and "philosophy" a bigger joke than it already is.
