I always thought we got LVG to lay the foundation for Pep Guardiola. Start with the possession based football where Pep would come and make it better.

Instead he's made us awful, and we have let Pep go to our rivals. LVG is the worst manager in the league at the moment. Yes. Worse than Remi Guarde.

I agree with everything expect the bold part. He may have never wanted to come here. We could be looking at the curse of post Fergie for years to come. It is absolutely vital for us to replace LVG with an experienced manager though. Not Giggs, not anyone from the Class of 92, a legitimate, experienced manager that can take charge on day 1 and does not need to learn on the job.

Only 3 more points than Aston Villa since November 28. How did it come to this?

I went on Statto yesterday to see how bad we were in that period. If Villa had won today, we'd be level with them. We're level with Newcastle too, and barely ahead of Swansea, over a third of the season period. Utterly dreadful.

It's surreal how Steve Maclaren is under pressure for his job at Newcastle fecking United, whereas LVG appears to be completely safe for the same form at Manchester United. It's not funny anymore.

I think pretty much everybody now wants LVG gone except the one person who actually matters, Ed Woodward. I hope Woodward is held accountable by the Glazers, especially if we don't make top 4 and miss out on Mourinho and Pocettinho. If the Glazers won't hold Woodward accountable who will hold the Glazers accountable for all of this?

Newcastle's board probably have higher expectations than ours, at this rate.

And VG sits there every press conference, play the victim card against the press, blames scholes for the atmosphere instead of his own terrible job, and acts like he has done nothing wrong. The guy is an utter joke how he shows up every week like he has done nothing wrong, and that is the worst part, he cant see his own failure.

I hate to day told you so, but as I stated pre appointment this man is a dinosaur living off glories from over 20 years ago, how is he still in the role now Moyes has a better record.

Again Woodward is a corporate clown completely out of his depth, how he runs the football side is complete and utter fecking madness.

The club bet the farm on LVG making us great again, now Woodward doesn't have the bottle to get rid of him. We'll finish 7th or 8th at this rate. The club is happy to settle for mediocrity as long as we can keep signing noodle partnerships in asia. That gravy train will run dry if we continue to be shite but apparently nobody seems to care. These guys just care about money yet don't seem to realise the brand isn't infallible.

Look at how City are dropping points all the time and we arent even close, diabolical

That is beyond the pale. It's not a small time comparison either.

I think we'll beat Mityaland...a 2-0 win away, and another at home.

I think we'll beat Shrewsbury too,or at least get a replay.

But the Arsenal game scares me. Van Gaal has a decent record against the top teams, but he's been found wanting against Arsenal when it really matters(his only win was as lucky as you get). I can see them beating us like Liverpool did in 2014 i.e a humiliating defeat at home where we are truly 2nd best. I can even see Welbeck scoring just to rub it in.

He'll still survive that too though.

I can see Liverpool, west ham and Southampton finishing higher than us, hell watford, stoke everton and even chelsea are not far behind. Like I say patterns are a real eye opener, but I would not be surprised if we finished 8th or 9th this season

You cannot rub it in, when we have flatlined beyond repair. But not only is the hour glass be up for VG, its gone well past that. If welbeck scored I hope he rubs it in VG's face, who has burnt so many bridges, its got to the point I do not think any fan would begrudge welbeck. VG totally lost the plot for me the day he blamed scholes for the fans turning on him, that for me showed he cannot see of the abject failure of his own job

well, the only people who really have the power is the fans. They ultimately have a very very big say. Old Trafford empties, and that sends a message around the world, which in turn sends a message to the commercial guys and sponsors who suddenly realise their hard work or their investment, is being seriously undermined. You can only live for so long on the major product being crap. And at the moment, the main product, the football, is rather like Edwina Currie saying most eggs are contaminated with salmonella. For the chicken famers it recovered, but only after she was sacked.

After the Arsenal game why dont we go 3 at the back again and just go for it with nothing to lose?

He should have been sacked around the Stoke>Norwich defeats, its 100% on the board that this season is heading straight down the toilet with their dithering at this point, feel like theres worse to come yet.

I think it needs to happen, this board is getting away with far too much, Woodward said look at liverpool they keep selling shirts without the need of winning trophy's. So in the eyes of the board, if the club keeps making money, results do not matter so much, fans need to take a stand to this terrible board

He's not going to even make the Final. There is no rescue.

To be fair, you can't say that for certain. We could get a decent run of fixtures and end up in the final for all you know.

Let's not forget we seem to go on these strange three or four game runs of form.

Because LVG's 3 at the back is more like 5 at the back. Or 7 at the back if you include the 2 holding midfielders.

fecking depressing times.

Would the FA Cup rescue Van Gaal in a similar fashion to Sir Alex in 1990?
How would fluking a cup win (unlikely as it is) rescue him? Like how would that make up for literally everything else that he's failed at doing during his reign? This isn't 1990, the FA Cup today is a sideshow at best for the so called 'elite' clubs, well behind the league and Europe in terms of importance, we may as well win the Coca Cola/Carling/Pisstake Cup, it would mean absolutely nothing.

He certainly is. But he would be our Adolf Hitler. Think about it, how many clubs can say they've got their own Adolf Hitler?

Hitler was not a failure for nazi germany, well until he decided to invade russia in the winter then he lost

Would any of us want VG to fluke the EL or FA cup, to put up with another year of this dinosaur? where we would get the same rubbish next year

250m and carrick is still running the show in a one paced midfield. he looks at fellani as the 3rd choice striker. some on here said that most teams only have two strikers. no united are the only team in the league with two. some said you can't fire him we are in 2nd , 3rd 4th etc. you fire him because the club's football was shit with the exception of a run here or there. he said he would use youth players but he did only because the squad was so thin and threw them into no win situations. we are now actually left with players that are not working for each other and whilst the players may be better but he destroyed the "team".

he did and continues to do more damage than moist did.

With us just six points off City we could still make the top four, which means Louis Van Gaal might still be Man Utd manager next season. Woodward won't fire Louis if he gets Champions League. No way.

Would be idiotic to keep him still IMO.

Unless the club no longer care about trophies and just want to secure CL qualification each season(which I doubt).

It's just indecisiveness. He should have been gone by now.

its pretty much 7 points with goal difference. We don't win enough games
