How he is not sacked yet?

Probably because the manager we want is not available....yet.

It would make sense to call it that we are not getting top 4, fire LVG and let Giggs have a go. If Giggs does well, then he is our permanent manager. If not, nothing lost so hire somebody suitable during the summer.

With Moyes though he was a subject of performance evaluation. We knew, he knew that if he fails he would be sacked. With LVG it seems.that he could set OT on fire and still remain in charge.

He's that desperate, he blames scholes for fans not giving him a chance. That is how arrogant and blind that he is, that he can't see how bad he has done. Like I say if he was a doctor he would have killed half the patience on his ward, and blamed everyone else, that is how much of a dinasaur he is. When someone like VG is refusing to evolve with the times, you point fingers at everyone but himself, because he is to set in his ways to change. And that is why Fergie was always winning, he changed with the times

If he ain't gone by 8pm tonight I'll resign myself to the fact this club will continue to be raped until 2017 at the earliest.

It's as if the club is keeping him on out of pity/respect, because he's retiring. Yet we had no problem bringing the hammer down on Moyes, who had a 6 year contract.

When we were down 2-1 to Sunderland, I'd have paid dollars to know just what the shit he was writing on that damn clipboard of his.

150,000 X 54 = 8,100,000

Yeah I can afford to get sacked today.

It's Valentines Day, can't sack him on Valentines Day. It was Christmas, can't sack him at Christmas.

The fact Van Gaal is still in charge is the biggest disgrace in the history of the PL.

Maybe it's because Ed personally hired LVG and he doesn't want to look bad.
Moyes wasn't his appointment.

I've mentioned this earlier. Either come in late, leave on the 58th minute or the supporter clubs get together and decide on a game and all stay away. That number of people would be noticed. The loss of matchday income from catering, programmes and the megastore would be noticed as well.
Just chant for Jose Mourinho, worked for Chelsea fans in rehiring him.

I wonder if Ed was not on board with Moyes and felt he was not the man for the job. Holds back funds or does not put his best effort to sign new players for Moyes. Fires Moyes first chance he gets and tries to look a hero by appointing LVG. Gives LVG feck loads of money to spend. Points to the sky with that grin and thinks LVG is the second coming. One season later LVG is showing his true philosophy stubborn attitude. Loses the team. Yet Ed is in too deep to fire LVG.

It's all making sense now.

What I find absolutely untenable now are LVG's remarks after the game, echoed by captain Rooney no less that our top 4 chances are all but done for. The squad have given up, they dont believe in themselves or the situation they find themselves in.

This is on woodward now, and has been since December. The blame is squarely laid at his feet.

Watching Tottenham I feel like They are playing the football which LvG would want us to play but for some reason he can't get the players to play this way.

But of course if a manager can't translate his philosophy about football into actual football on the pitch it's time to look for someone who can.

Completely agree, he looks like a man whos lost the will. Almost hoping to be put out of his misery. Woodward probably doesnt want to act because it shows how wrong he got it

I thought the same thing, it's unbearable.

Because unlike United, Tottenham isn't regularly fielding flat-footed trudgers.
They have better energy, more pace, more athletic/agile players all over the pitch. Players who can dribble/turn past people and dribble out of danger, and who can press and handle being pressed.

They have players all over the pitch who can get the ball out of their feet quickly. van Gaal's team has the likes of Smalling, Darmian, Rooney, Fellaini... who need three slow touches just to control a ball.
Then there's Memphis who can't beat anyone consistently; Mata, who can't turn for toffee; Schneiderlin, who doesn't want to play a risky pass (in comparison to someone like Dembele) and Carrick, who can't move.

......and Kyle Walker.

It was up to LVG to get in the players required to mirror his philosophy, he had the time and money to do so. The fact that he couldn't do that, tells me his long term plan has been a sham from the very beginning.

Any team who's aiming to be at the top wouldn't keep a manager who in 2 years managed to spend over 200m and struggles to win games which would be considered easy for most top teams. Where is our ambition? Who is taking the decisions in our club? Manchester United is a business for our owners but things aren't ok just because revenue increased and we're going to make more profits. Results on the pitch are much more important!

I always thought we got LVG to lay the foundation for Pep Guardiola. Start with the possession based football where Pep would come and make it better.

Instead he's made us awful, and we have let Pep go to our rivals. LVG is the worst manager in the league at the moment. Yes. Worse than Remi Guarde.

Only 3 more points than Aston Villa since November 28. How did it come to this?

The fact that, that Spurs team is outplaying man city at the moment just pisses me off even more. Time to go Louis.
