He has to go . No more blaming Paul Scholes.

Wayne said that? Very difficult no doubt but players usually don't say that with 12? games to play.

To that affect yes, even LVG has just said himself top four is not possible and the Europa league is our best bet.

Disgraceful from a Manchester United manager/captain.

It seems like we regularly encounter teams on days when they are in good form/more aggressive/hungrier etc.

Its never us who fail to turn up or do anything wrong

Sunderland were there for the taking but when DDG, Darmian, Love, Smalling, Morgan, Carrick, Mata & Rooney play that bad what chance have you got

In press conferences he puts up a bit of fight, but his after match interviews are Moyes level. I just don't see why players would find hearing him talk even remotely encouraging.

Will him leaving cause Smalling to defend his man on corner and not run around like a headless chicken in his own box? Or go after corners with strength?
How will his leaving help the midfield? We don't have a midfield. The spine of the team is not yet formed. No grit, no pace and injuries have been unfair.

You do realise these issues are mostly down to him. He had last season to figure out we have very injury prone players, yet he failed to stock up on experienced defenders in the summer.
This is his midfield, he put it together, they're his signings. How the feck can he have been here for 20 months and not yet formed the 'spine of our team'.
It's all down to him, Smalling made one mistake here, but how many times did Smalling bail out LVG in the first half of the season?

People are laughing at us, I speak to other clubs fans and they literally cannot believe he is still in the job, we seem to be keeping him on the basis of not wanting to be seen as a sacking club but everyone else is looking at us and scratching their heads thinking "how the feck does this idiot still have a job".
If he had any self respect he'd walk away by Monday morning, all things considered, he's been the worse performing manager in the league this season by some distance.

The season had been a write-off with this clown in charge for a long time now. The sad part is i'm not even mad or surprised anymore. United not winning used to screw up my mood for days, but sadly with Van Gaal it seems to be the norm now.

I think that ship has sailed. He's here until season's end, if not beyond.

He'll likely get sacked when we have nothing left to play for. ie. out of the cup and the Europa League.

So in about two weeks time.

It's funny how many people live in this magical world where they think sacking a manager will solve everything.
There is some truth to your point.

The truly brilliant managers can have that much of an amazing effect. See Sir Alex and some of his achievements.

The problem is hiring extremely flawed and tactically outdated managers like Moyes and Van Gaal and expecting them to solve everything.

Surely this has to be it, right? Getting knocked out of the CL should have been it. Getting knocked out of the League Cup at home to a Championship side should have been it. Then December's form should have been it. Losing at home to Norwich should have been it. This though. This just has to be it. Right?

If he wasn't sacked then, why will he be sacked now?

What he has done to our club is beyond pathetic. Same mistakes as at Bayern, he did it at AZ too when they finished 11th, he made the same mistakes at Barcelona, and during his first spell as Holland manager.

It's more than vanity, it's a proper and genuine mental disorder and he can't help himself. Your average dog has a better ability to learn from mistakes than this man, it's so awful I have no words.

If LVG is being replaced by Mourinho this summer, there is no use waiting, make the move now. If Mourinho wants to wait til summer, and Giggs doesn't want to be interim manager, give the job to the tea lady, she can't do any worse.

Well, at least he doesn't sell them out as much as Moyes, but you're right he is starting to go down the Moyes "huh, what's that thing there? Are those my feet?" route.

Everything? Nope, but it would be a step in the right direction. Funny how some fans can't see that.

History has proven that LVG is one of the best managers. That doesn't mean he hasn't made any mistakes, but I don't believe in this whole "lost it" or "tactically outdated" stuff. Many footballers are raving about his tactical knowledge. We have a squad of players that (partially due to their age) is extremely inconsistent performance-wise and we lack leaders in the field that can inject aggression and belief in the squad when we are behind.

Wait, several days ago we had chances for the title (according to him)

Personally I think what's happened is that LVG has fecked his game up and the randomiser keeps calculating a 1 goal victory for the opposition. He should quit to desktop and reload game, that should fix it.

I have a question for you all. How many people remember this banner that was hang after a string of poor performances:
"Three years of excuses and it's still crap...

The circumstances behind this is eerie similar to what you are seeing. Have patience.

Wow, well done taking an excerpt from my post and presenting it completely out of context. Very intelligent!
No amount of context could justify trying to shift the blame of our pathetic performances and results this season on the guy that last managed this team nearly three years ago(where he signed off by winning the title by 11 points), instead of maybe attributing it to two disastrous managerial appointments, shite transfer policy, player underperformance or boardroom incompetence you feel it neccessary to blame the greatest manager of all time for not ensuring the club didn't completely botch it's succession plans? Yeah, no. It was annoying during the Moyes season, but at this stage it is pure nonsense.

It's not comparable in the slightest. Wake up.

No they aren't, they are entirely different.
