I disagree, the squad SAF were not good enough going forward. Who exactly did LVG let go that was such a loss? You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. He is rebuilding, I am seeing progress when we are healthy. I am seeing Manchester United starting to press off the ball. I have Manchester now starting effective attacks from the back, defenders are giving intelligent passing. I was frustrated with the lack of definition, but things are beginning to look clear to me. We are about a player or two away from being world beaters.
You call it relying on youth, I call it imbuing experience. We need to give him time and stop all these nonsense. If we sack him, Mourihno too will think he has less time and will go out splashing again and the foundation being built will come down. It is sad that you are not seeing the transformation happening in front of you. I understand your anger, but we are not going away. We are on the up.

Where have you been all my life?

The journalist was out of order stating as fact that the club were trying to replace him.

Or you know.. If all the people in this world were intelligent then this would be a perfect harmonic world.

Unfortunately the chances of that happening is close to nil.
You have an alarmingly high opinion of yourself. No wonder you like Van Gaal so much. Like kindred spirits.

He should start going full loco at them, they presenting something like its a fact, almost same like they tried with Klopp when it was a question about D.S. and the moment you start pushing them back, then they start calling it a suggestion...at the end admitting suggestion made by them. If D.S. was from Federated States of Micronesia they wouldnt give a feck.

This, some may even want him to stay if we manage to claw the gap back a little and we finish 5th by a small margin. :nervous:

Some people seem to love glorious failure.

Yep such as vidic blood and sand, apparently we're doing well now :annoyed:

The fact that we invite Chelsea back after the Lindgard goal and they even deserve the win, is something I will blame him for tbf.
Really? Is it he who kept giving the ball away? Or he who kept giving away free kick after free kick and hoofing the ball upfield aimlessly? Some of yall in here have issues

Costa's goal sealed Van Gaal's fate - we won't make 4th now (effectively we need to make up 7 points with 13 games to go) and he'll be gone at the end of the season.

No one went to Pellegrini and asked. Now that City has decided to get in a better manager as you have been a failure at the club, do you think you could have done anything better?

There is a way to put a question through.

I want LVG gone as much as the next person- but i do like the way he sticks it to the press- the fact is and this is with the British mob in particular is that they know nothing other than what Woodward chooses to tell them now and again and most of that is half truths. I find it ludicrous that they can practically say what they want and just stick 'sources' on the end of a story and it is not questioned or held accountable.

As for yesterday- normally that is not a bad result- but in context of this season it is awful and we are not going to be in the champions league again next season unless somehow we win the Europa league or one of the current top 4 has a nightmare final 13 games.

I hope for his sake he can win a cup because i actually like the man i just dislike the brand of football he has played.

Totally agree with this. He's been spot on in his last few press conferences about the press writing whatever they want. Fair play to him.

He hasn't learned yet that the more he sticks it to the press, the more they love it because they can then have a go back and it sells papers. He's giving them what they want.

The most sensible plan would have been to completely ignore any questions he doesn't want to answer.

I want him out too, but I can't blame him for yesterday's draw. Really do not think it was his fault. Thought he set us up excellently. We invited too much pressure onto us in the last 15mins, but the players should be capable of dealing with that.

Fair point- i just believe in the digital age the press literally can make things up and it is not questioned- LVG is questioning it. I fear for journalistic standards say in 20 years time- i mean the guys we hold in a semi decent regard like Winter and Ducker are average at best- and it's only going to become worse. They all seem so self important- that Winter advert for the Times is puke worthy- i used to rate him aswell.

It wasn't questioned before, it has never been questioned and it will never be questioned. The difference is that a long time ago people used to pay for papers and when they didn't liked what was written, they would stop paying. If you don't like what a paper write don't read it, don't click on their links.

And like Rednotdead said LVG should ignore them, by fighting them he is playing their game, these are tabloids we are not talking about respectable journalists.

We were away to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge who were on a 10 game undefeated streak right? We invited too much pressure in the 2nd half but I was fairly upbeat after the game.

Chelsea are still pretty shit, we are not really better and we are 12 points from top. Not upbeat.

When was Chelsea's last home win? Everton and Watford scored there 3 and 2 goals respectively. Everton destroyed their defence.

Seriously man. You are so deluded I dont know why I care to respond. Our players are at fault yes, but ffs man, our manager must be able to lead our players. Its not like its the first time we do shit like this. Did Fergie collapse like this at a regular basis?

This is what annoys me about LvG and all his staff, including Giggs. First sign of them dropping back, get up on your feet and organise them, like just about any other manager would do. Pep is supposedly the best and he doesn't sit on his backside scribbling the whole game. What is the point of telling them where they went wrong when the points have been dropped. That is why we will not win anything with him. He is exactly like a teacher, who is setting homework and when someone does something wrong he rollocks them and then shows them how to put it right. It might work as a teacher, but not in a game situation when action needs to be taken on the hoof.

You can't make an omelet by breaking even the best eggs in the world if you put the pan in the fridge.

Show me consistency over more than 2.5 games and I'll start seeing designed progress. Until then, it's just hitting trips on the river.

also Chelsea have drawn four games in the row for the first time in history. So what is their form in the last games? 1W 4D - 7/15.

And they have a record of 3 wins, 7 draws and 2 losses in the last 12 games.

No but it's not him sticking the ball in the net when we win either. If he has no influence on what happens on the pitch then what is his job?

Exactly.

To them, he's some foreign know-it-all that has spent a quarter of a billion pounds and failed dismally. Attacking them just means they can hit back too. They love that.

Sir Alex had a go at the press too, but there was one significant difference. He had the success in the English game to back it up. Van Gaal has failed, they wont take him and his arracks seriously.

The one thing the various press in the countries Van Gaal has worked have found out, is that if you poke him, you'll get a reaction. He plays right into it.
