Could you imagine if we do lose, he survives, then produce another Southampton type performance against Stoke on Tuesday.

I just hope for his, and our seasons hope that we do something unexpected.
he could go on a 8 game winless run and still have the job.

...oh wait, that already happened

Fecker needs to go obviously. But LVG's eventual sacking will only bring about uncertainty and more questions. Whereas when Moyes got shitcanned, a dark cloud was lifted and it was the best news of an otherwise miserable season for most on here. Doubt LVG's departure will be as celebrated seeing the uncertainty of who we'll bring in next as well as the level where the club currently find themselves at. I've got no confidence in our next hiring if his name isn't Pep or Jose.

I think Van Gaal's potential dismissal would be celebrated just as much and would also be ''the best news of an otherwise miserable season'', at least for me.

His sacking will be celebrated like a last gasp winner in the Champions League Final.

His sacking will be like a tornado moving on from above you.

(celebrated a lot)

No wonder Pat Cerrand had a meltdown, he was a central figure in this exact same scenario over 40 years ago.

It's not even a case of ditching Van Gaal, it's wondering what mistake the club will make next.

'Its not one game, it is a process.. '

Is he taking the piss? We've put up with this for 18 months. It actually feels like he's rubbing his ineptness in our faces, as if to say 'you all want me gone but I'm untouchable '. This guy will do what the feck he wants and couldn't give a toss about the supporters or what we expect. It's as though the club has become a play thing for a group of mates.

He is saying he will not resign. If the board wants him gone, that they will have to pay out his contract. The board obviously does not want to pay him out.

Is not paying him out really worth losing out on a champions league spot for?

I guess the issue there is what guarantees do we have that we'll get a CL spot if we sack him?

Transfer window is basically done so our squad remains the same. I don't think we're getting top 4 either way at the moment, so maybe dragging this to the end of the season will be better in the long run if it means we get the next managerial appointment right.

Lots of assumptions but there must be 'some' method to our madness?!?

Appoint Mourinho = get the next appointment right

It's obvious Woodward has learned from Barca and Bayern's situations, and how they got it entirely wrong when LVG was underperforming spectacularly in his second seasons there, and they both fired him.

I mean, where are those clubs now? Certainly nowhere Eddy wants Manchester United to be!

Says you. Maybe the board and at least some of the fans do not think so.
In the past 3 years, the board have proven themselves as good at picking managers as the Chinese government at allowing free press.

Yes, because we all dream of winning games against Derby County.

That being said, I'd be surprised if we won convincingly.

There's bound to be a managerial sacking if there's an upset in tonight's game.

Personally, I find that a bit harsh on Paul Clement, since he's got Derby in the play-off places.

I dont think I will be able to hide the euphoria I will feel once he has gone. Gives me a semi just thinking about it.

Something we look incredibly unlikely to reach this season.

I read the posts relating to the later part of the press conference before bed and I was and still am so pissed off that I couldn't sleep.
I'm disgusted at what is going on at our club, it's just absolute insanity, people on here or at Utd who don't want Mourinho need to wake the feck up and see this clown and Ed are doing far worse to tarnish the club than Jose ever would.
Theres just no reason to do what we are doing other than we actually want to copy what Liverpool did, if we carry on as we are, (It seems the club is happy to do so.) I can't see us winning anything for the next 5-10 years, if LVB is getting backed and is nowhere near the sack imagine what Giggs will be allowed to get away with, I feel like crying it's absurd :(
