I truly hope Leicester wins the league since we are out of it. Would be so good for football in general and a slap to the face for overpaid people in football.
Imagine Leicester in pot1 and getting an easy group.

I understand your sentiment but alas it will prove no more than a fleabite.
True, but better than no bite at all.

It will give others hope and I do think that finally, probably because of the money in honesty, which has allowed (and will further allow) the smaller clubs to spend big in Europe, we will see a more competitive league in the next few years. Leicester's achievement to date will give many others hope.

His name makes my blood boil. The cnut should have resigned like he said. FTW!

I'm in total shock that the club hasn't sacked him yet, I was more convinced than ever the axe would fall last night.

Since going out of the CL when he should have been sacked on the spot we've:

Lost to Bournemouth
Lost to Norwich
Lost to Stoke
Drawn with a terrible Chelsea
Drawn with an awful Newcastle
Lost to Southampton

2 out of those 18 available points and we're 7 points behind Arsenal and City. How is he still here?! It's not that much of a stretch to say i'd have done better myself.

We got very lucky in the FA Cup with a goal in the 92nd minute (Was it?).
We got lucky with the goal against LFC.

Generally speaking we either lose or draw, unless we get lucky. And that sucks.
Personally, I think LVG has already checked out and he can't believe that he is being asked to stay.
Rumour has it that he attempted to resign a few weeks ago, but EW convinced him to stay.

Our next game against Derby will be interesting. I actually believe that we are the under-dogs in that match, but we won't know until the match plays out.

50-35-15 i reckon. That's disgusting.

Not how it works. The media and the organisations favour the big teams. If Leicester makes it the public pressure on their players to move will be huge, the financial return for the break up of smaller sides is never enough, and the accumulation of games grinds them down.

Jesus Christ, that puts it into perspective.

Even a tally of just 9 points from that list would have had us slap bang in the fight for the title. It's just utterly utterly incredible that our board hasn't kicked this imposter out of the club.

Get it done by tonight Ed.
Tonight is not possible. They'll have to convene a meeting with Woody's counterparts in the US. Tomorrow or after a negative result against Derby would be the likeliest scenario.

I'm just gonna sit here, eating my Cheerios, pretending everything is OK.

I hope he's gone before Friday, my mums side of the family are all Derby fans and the shame should we get turned over at Ipro is not worth thinking about for me.

That is all I have to say, why is he still here?

And therein lies the tragedy of false hope. Had we won 3 of those games (a mandatory minimum for a club of our stature and resources) we'd be essentially top of the table.

This years league was there for the taking even with outlet transient team, but we have fluffed our lines big time.

What happened yesterday is an accurate reflection of our capabilities as set up by Louis Van Gaal. It was unsurprising and very much like the previous matches played under him. We have seen what he offers this club as a manager, we know it is not good enough, we gave him plenty of latitude and support to turn things around, and nothing changes. It is insane for us to expect better results and better performances under this manager - he has shown who he is. There can be no other option but to remove him. I can only guess that the situation with Giggs is complicating matters since he may not fit in with a new manager's plans.

Their fans forums are seriously talking about resting their back four for our game. Thats how toothless Van Gaal's United are. They were actually very pleased to get Man United.

Had we sacked him after Norwich (when most fans realized his time was up), we might have been within touching distance of the top 3 at this point.

The decision makers on the board lack a killer instinct and long term vision. They are shortsighted and feel obligated to back LvG out of blind loyalty.

Dont do this to yourself people.

After the Norwich game I kept visiting this site hoping for the headline : Van Gaal sacked. The stupid English rags even gave me hope with the 'he's got 2 games left' and 'he'll resign after Chelsea'. That smug interview he gave after the Chelsea game broke my spirit.

Even after promptly surrendering to Stoke, he kept his job. He's not going anywhere.

He wont walk either. He has said it himself that the decision is not up to him. I'd say hold on, suffer through the next weeks/months and then hope for the best in the Summer.

Literally this. With Moyes I thought he shouldn't have been there and sometimes even felt sorry for him. With Van Gaal them I started to hate him and I do feel he is an utter moron and nothing but a cancer on a great club.

Has he been sacked yet?
I bet d Woodward the incompetent Knob still has fixed the damn fax machine

3rd bottom in the form league in the last 10 games. we have 10 points and only Villa and Everton have less :wenger::wenger::wenger::wenger::wenger:.

I think people would go bat shit crazy happy if LvG was sacked now. That fact alone tells me that he just have to go. The fans must be heard or the club might be in real trouble.

If we were lucky against Liverpool, does that mean Southampton were lucky against United?
