Was quite shocked at the level of booing yesterday, don't blame them just surprised it was quite so loud.

I'm sure Andy Mitten felt very let down by them all...

I was in wait till the end of the season camp. Not any more. We need shot of him now.

took this fecking long. when do you proceed through a green light if you're the first car? give it that old 30 seconds to make sure it;s green?

Sometimes it's better to wait and make sure you're not in the red zone!

If you listen to it he says there are 2 boards, one which is the main club board run by Woodward etc and the other football ambassadorial board with fergie and gill et al. He also says the football board which he sits on has nothing to do with executive decisions and only has an input if directly asked by the other board.

I think they have an opinion but basically have zero power.
If that's the structure of the club, then it's moronic and part of the reason why we are in this situation. The board which can actually make decisions needs to have football people involved. The Woodward run board seems to have a bunch of businessman who don't understand the intricacies of the sport.

Just took a quick snap for you.

Ha! Cool man :)

Thanks!

The first thing i check every morning, is if LvG has been sacked, disappointed every day :(

Doesn't Woody and the Glazer's see the same we're seeing? That we're not going to get CL without a change.
Fans are unhappy, ADIDAS will be unhappy without CL, and so on... This is getting frustrating!

checked the old thread - same divs defending him in August with the same lame arse excuses as now. they called it knee jerk back then after a loss but it wasn't that it was the standard of football we've played with the exception of a run here or there. oddly enough some of them have fecked off and/or finally saw the light.

Why has he not been sacked? I can't think of one good reason bar we're run by a bunch of incompetant wankers.

If Woodward is the man who's still keeping LVG in the job, perhaps a plane banner should be flown for both of them:

Woodward & Van Gaal OUT!!

Gutted I've not seen the yellow banner at the bottom of Sky Sports saying Louis Van Gaal has been sacked. Been watching all day too.

it will need japan noodles and India Tyres to comment before any decision is debated

I've got no idea about the internal politics at United, but LvG is Woodward's man, just as the last two years and change have been Woodward's project. If he's hanging on to van Gaal as manager, perhaps it's because it'd be seen as an admission of his ineptitude?

Then again, I suppose it's an admission of ineptitude to keep the man in a job.

This is why imo, LvG is still here. It was easy to get rid of Moyes because he was younger and less paternalistic than LvG is with Woody. Sacking him would basically be a tacit admission that Ed fecked up by supporting his appointment after the Moyes debacle, which would cast serious doubt on whether Ed was competent enough to continue in his current role. This is why LvG is still our manager, although it's increasingly hard for Ed and the board to justify keeping him.

As I've said before but it's incredibly sad that decisions on Manchester United are getting made based on someone trying to save face.

LVG should be out the door but there will remain a cancer in the boardroom regardless.

I'm sorry but why does this looks bad on Ed? People keep bringing this up but IMO he along with the entire board (including charlton) will have backed this appointment. some people think Ed should resign because of this, well if that's the case the whole board should, including Charlton.

What happened is the board hired a proven manager at the highest level, it hasn't worked out, we'll move on and improve under a different manager...nobody to blame here as far as I can tell!

Unfortunately, if the board continue to back LvG when he has broadly lost credibility among the fan base, and continues to turn in tumescent, boring, mediocrity, then they are all at fault for what is happening.

I understand the reasoning but I disagree with the ineptitude part, Woodward is a newbie and he is still learning the job, hiring LVG wasn't a bad idea it's not working but it wasn't a bad idea. More importantly you will struggle to find a club that hasn't done mistakes, even the ones currently successful made mistake not so long ago.

Though your post is interesting because it stigmatizes the problems of that football club, the organization put too much pressure on individuals, namely the manager and the vice CEO, other clubs have the luxury to dilute the blames between several peoples. Just look at the current situation we expect from Woodward to take care of everything and take the blame for everything and we expect from LVG to take care of every footballing matters and take the blame for everything, it's a ridiculous organization.

when i was 18 or so like most you tell your father to do one when he's wrong. ed's a pussy.

I agree, now it's different. I don't think they've done anything wrong with LVG up until this period where they've got themselves in a right mess. In my opinion they don't want mourinho or it would already have happened and they are still hopeful of or already know we can get pep in the summer. This might be why they are sitting around not knowing what they should do in the meantime.

Van Gaal himself must be in disbelief he's still in charge. To be as fecking shit as he has been, especially in the last 2 months or so and he's still in charge. Getting paid a shit load to make the same mistakes every single game.

I bet he can't believe his luck.

The owners of the club do not give a flying toss about:

The fans
The clubs traditions
The style of football
Who is managing the club, as long as they keep us mathematically near 4th
Trophies

They really do not care. The only way they will start to care is if their profits are affected, and Ed currently is performing well enough in that regard.

So best to get used to LVG.....

In fairness, Woodward is clearly extremely good at bringing money into the club, which is why I think he'll definitely be around for a good long while. I also agree that hiring LvG wasn't a bad idea, he was definitely the best option at the time.

I honestly don't think we'd be in this situation now if the club had pleaded David Gill to stay on for a year past Sir Alex. Throwing Woodward into the absolute deep end was a huge mistake.

I truly hope Leicester wins the league since we are out of it. Would be so good for football in general and a slap to the face for overpaid people in football.
