With my limited cognitive lip speaking abilities i dont think he said 'i know'. Just watch the guy left from him staring to his phone, probably wondering what Sir Alex is looking at and he then got answered and immediately looked at his phone again. Who knows.
I know.

Remember Moyes was not sacked until the Tuesday after we lost to Everton (on a Sunday). Although it was widely known he would be sacked on the Monday. Don't get your hopes up though, think he will be here until top 4 is no longer possible.

He'll have to be sacked now. There is just no point. Woodward can go too.

It isn't rubbish. They care only about the business. It'll take more than anyone thinks for the money making machine to falter. There's so much money from TV, sponsorships which run for years and years........it's fecking hopeless now. The Glazers are the biggest problem in my opinion. Van Gaal and Woodward are mere symptoms.
Rubbish. The glazers don't tell lvg to pick a team and tactic that will bore the pants off their customers

The board are at fault for not recognising quickly enough that he hasn't a scooby what to do

I'm just refreshing this thread and the forum as a whole in the hope of seeing that he's gone. I know it can't happen this late (or at all, to be fair), but I just can't help it.

It's moronic, but I just want to enjoy watching United play again.

Short-term at least we need a manager that can de-program the squad and get each individual player performing to something like their potential.

an old head like chelsea pulled?

Van Gaal: "You cannot say the fans are not right. They are right and of course they are disappointed and they have the right to boo me but we have to stick together in this period because we have a lot of injuries and we have to wait and see. Darmian is in hospital and it is not very nice I assume."

“It was a poor game for the fans,” admitted Van Gaal. “I cannot change feelings, only work hard with the players. That's what I am doing. I put a question: how can we change this? That's my job. It is not an easy job.”

Honest stuff from LVG. But when he feels like that (I'm referring to the bolded section). what's the point in Louis continuing in the job?

I used to treat the press like the enemy, now I'm hoping they give him hell tomorrow.

The more pressure we can build the better, they can't ignore us forever.

Yeah we get it Vangle, it's not easy to win, your job isn't easy and even this defeat represents progress because we had a shot on target against Southampton at home compared to last season's fixture one year ago.

Have some decency and feck off to your villa in Portugal.

We are ridiculous

Simple but straight to the point!

Same here, it's been far far too long that I've enjoyed watching Utd, at the end of the day the club is here to win things and entertain our fans, this seems a fecking mile off at the minute.

There is no point and there hasn't been for months, it's just our board is actually worse at their jobs than Louis Van Bullshit!

Don't think he'll get sacked until there's absolutely no chance of us getting a top 4 spot, which would be predictable and the most moronic course of action since...well...since doing the same fecking thing with Moyes.

Just imagine him staying beyond the summer. I don't think I'd get excited even if we signed Messi, Ronaldo, Darth Vader and God himself to lead the line.

It's actually past the point where he is saying thing more embarrassing than anything Moyes ever said.

Can Darth, Messi, Ronaldo and God do it on a wet Wednesday at Stoke though?

its just money. The board is making a calculated risk.

MOTD tonight:

Reporter: are you disapointed, alarmed, concerned about how few opportunities your team fashioned today, I think just 1 shot on target in 90 mins?
LVG: (Some sort of mumbling/groaning). Yes, that is disappointing, but that is also how your opponent has been organised and that was very compact with 5 defenders and it is always more difficult, and that you know in advance...

So if you know it in advance, then how come???

He says this about every bloody team. I don't get why we are so special but yet so shit that teams just park the bus every week.

There is no doubt he has to go. All we can hope for is that with a new manager our style of play will loosen up, wouldn't mind Giggs till the end of the season and then assess the situation.

Untenable I would have thought. Like the guy myself but it ain't gonna happen for him at United I'm afraid. Let's hope there's some kind of plan from the bigwigs.

What does he expect?

The real problem with this manager is his low standards despite pissing away so much money. He talks as though we are a mid-table club on a mid-table budget and how we played well when we strung more than 2 passes together, and then throws in that we are title contenders when sitting in 5th. How does he think we would end up in 1st with so few football matches being won?

This current period is as bad as it has been at Manchester United since the mid 70's. We need to try and save the season before it's another Moyes situation where we enter a summer out of Europe and tick off another year cupless towards our transition to become Liverpool or even fecking Leeds at this rate.

I think there is 0 chance he will be sacked until it's confirmed we wouldn't make Europe - which we wouldn't with him. He may resign, that is the hope.

Whatever happened to patience and supporting the manager in the bad times as well as the good?

Problem is, fan pressure gets build up and there brought down just in time. It's infuriating. After the Stoke game the pressure was so intense for him to go, then a half decent performance against a piss poor Chelsea team meant he got more time. If we had lost that game the plane banners will have started and the outrage would have been so intense he would have walked. If he had lost last week away at Pool it would have been the same, but he gets a scrappy win and it's enough to avoid the severe slating for another week.

The clueless board are just waiting until this season is a complete write off to act. Abysmal.

If we assume that JM is out of the question (seems so, and rightly so), then there isn't any top manager available right now out there.

In the summer could be a different story.

I agree with your premise, but your example is unfair to say the very least. Just how many players capable of playing left back should a football team's squad have?

Shaw is unfortunate, but after Shaw who else? With LVG it is very much a case of square pegs in round holes. We didn't have a back up left back so we threw Darmian and Young there.

How, for the money spent do we not have a proper backup leftback?
