I think he's cracked.

I did enjoy the game last night, but it's worrying that LVG can't find the right balance, more so when he bangs on about balance all the time. I can't see us going on a winning anymore, at this point I'll be surprised if we get top four.

I remember back last season, when people werent looking for things to get on his case about, when people actually liked the idea of having a manager who would give the journalists a bit of stick. There are many completely legitimate criticisms to make of Van Gaal at the moment but quite honestly I dont see much wrong with this. I mean, its certainly abrasive, but that is nothing new, hardly evidence of the pressure getting to him.

He looks genuinely angry there. He really wanted that win yesterday, he knows how important the three points were.

I can't hear clearly, probably poor headphones, but are we sure he doesn't say "THAT man"?

So obvious, yet that's simply not part of his plans.

He's been quoted on numerous occasions as saying he does his tactics and talking during the week, and trusts his players to carry out the plan. Basically, there is no plan B during the game.

Unless they have gone over alternate plans throughout the week.

i like emotion from lvg. i got probably more from him yesterday than i had in everything prior to that.

fergie often had meltdowns, it was great - and it was often galvanizing. we need a siege mentality more than ever.

How many of his signings would count as shrewd? The only one that would fall into that category for me would be Blind and even then he shouldn't be an automatic starter for us.

Shaw, Morgan, Bastian, Martial and Blind all shrewd signings. Herrera and Darmain you could easily argue they were worth their fees!

It is pretty funny, but because of the situation we're in can easily come across as cracking up.
He should probably try and keep the media on his side all things considered too.

Can't hear him say 'fat', and since he's pointing I think he said 'that man'. Which is a shame, because calling a journo Fatman would have been funny as hell

It could be because he's cracking, but except for his spell with us he's always been really confrontational with media so I'm not sure. This is quite typical behaviour for him.

The media have been sticking the knife in since well before Mourinho was sacked, made fun of his not great grasp of English & twisting things (like above, what he says is 'that man') as well as making snide comments on twitter. Media aren't "on his side" and haven't been for a long while.

Felt genuinely angry at the reporter after watching that video. Laughing at the lack of language skills. He is the manager of Manchester United, and you're lucky he's giving you an interview. He's not a clown or a schoolkid, show some fecking respect. Would they have dared do that to SAF?

Reporters come off as cnuts there. Also agree he said 'that man'.

It doesn't look great, but it wasn't up to the reporter to correct him. In fact it was almost taking the piss out of his language skills.
I wouldn't insult actual reporters by calling these people that. The state of "journalism" in sports has become so ugly that they don't deserve to be given a word, let alone interviews and pressers.

I think he said "fat", his mouth movements are correct for a "F" not a "th", but if he tried to say "that" then he really needs english lessons.
