The "Sheffield United didn't create any chances, but why is nobody criticising them? I think its unfair" bullshit is enough fuel for today.
when he said that I just wanted to yell at his face, "they're in fecking league one you fecking moron!!!"

Van Gaal: "Sheffield United didn't create any chances, but why is nobody criticising them? I think its unfair"

:wenger:

I thought Rodgers was bad but this clown just takes it to a whole new level. Net spend of £132m in 18 months compared to Sheffield's £-1.7m in the same period. They are currently 48 places below in the league system and this guy is genuinely asking why they aren't getting criticised for not creating enough chances at Old Trafford. Deluded fraud.

Surely they are more than 38 places behind? Agree though what a tool he is.

They've also conceded 34 goals in 24 league games so far and we barely created a decent chance.

It genuinely vexes me that there are still people who come on here to defend him & his methods. Congrats you are truly assimilated to shit football for the rest of your life

I mentioned this in the match day thread.
I no longer believe that these teams who come to OT and put up defensive master classes are actually any good at defending.
I think its us who are so bad at attacking, making them look good.
How can so many teams who get spanked week in, week out, by other teams, come to OT and all of a sudden turn into defensive masters?

Our slow pedestrian, boring style of play is easy to defend against.

When Fergie won games like this : "That's the form of a title/league winning side, winning when not playing near their best".

When Fergie one games like this (scrappy), it was not the norm.
We would attack hard and score goals.
What you saw today is actually the norm for us. Slow passing. Side/back passing. Poor/weak attacks.
If this was a one -off, I'd have no complaint, however, when we are seeing this week-in, week-out, it gets tedious.

And LVG cannot win the league. We have just come out of a winless streak, during which LVG had no idea how to stop the rot. Absolutely no idea.

Yep. You can't really break defensive teams down without taking risks in attack and we all know Van Gaal is against that. We don't attack with enough men and the lack of urgency is a complete joke now. I also fail to understand the need of two holding midfielders against a midtable League One side at home. The consistently shit performances from Mata don't help either, as our attacking down the right was non-existent as expected.

He's just too fecking pragmatic. It seems like he only cares about the players following his philosophy instead of doing the necessary to actually win the games. He thinks we need to score every single goalscoring opportunity we create and that's simply unrealistic. That's why he's pleased with drab performances where we create feck all and that's why he liked the first half against Swansea better.

Just watched the first 20 minutes on replay filling time until some cricket I'll watch starts, and this has been shithousely boring. Luckily the cricket I'll be watching start just as the second half of the replay.

It would be funny if one day after LvG retires, someone makes a thread about showing gratitude towards LvG due him being on of managers putting a building stone for future team and their final way of play.Just imagine, actually dont, thats so far away from popular now time, that some brains might melt.

The game kicked off and there were a lot of empty seats. By 60 minutes the numbers leaving started to show by 75 minutes there was serious spaces and by the pen-goal wholesale deserted areas. The board can't bury their heads in the sand - there were a lot of unused tickets today and even more for the Europa game. This football is seriously testing fans patience and the long term absence of good quality entertainment is going to hurt the cash flow if not already.

A few round me left at half time. First time I've ever seen that at OT.

Very sad state and I actually feel for the players. LVG comments is beginning to be on par with Moyes Newcastle comment. It seems the job is now too big for him which is strange.

I have seen that but it was a very long time ago - 70s/80s. The board seem to think the club is impervious to poor results and poor football, but those days are well and truly gone. If they don't change they may end up in a very precarious situation regarding the fans.

As hard as it is to read a turnip-faced charlatan, he looked a broken man even after the goal. Maybe I'm being desperately optimistic but I hope he resigns.

He knows darn well we were fortunate to win. He also knows that whatever we are trying is not really working. It's just frustrating that every match we try to find the signs of a turnaround and we end up being disappointed again.

LVG's perfect match:
  • A goal per chance created
  • Absolutely ZERO goal chance conceded
  • Total possession domination
Even a choreographed match wouldn't have such stats.

Your post is not very good.

Neither is your daft comparison (or whatever it was) tbf. If you can't see why people complain about these kind of games under LVG, but accepted a few of these scrappy wins once in a while under Fergie, then maybe you didn't watch United enough?

When LvG is fired, a new manager comes in and gets us play much more entertaining football, LvG supporters on here will still claim that the foundations of such a positive change were laid by Louis.

I genuinely don't know how he's getting away with it. Any other top club in Europe would've been rid of him weeks/months ago. Why are we still persisting with this shite?

Because we are not a football club but a tshirt selling company. Till thr time t shirts keep on selling, there is no need for change. Best T SHIRT sellers in the world!

The board will only take action when the bottom line starts getting hit.

It's at the stage where I dread watching us play. I don't enjoy it anymore. It's a chore and everytime I waste the guts of two hours doing it, I curse myself. I struggle to watch any football at all to be honest.

I don't know why lvg is being blamed here for yesterday. If he had fielded kids we would have been out. So he put a good team. The players played real crap. Mata Herrera were sloppy and ineffective. He changed them. Though we won due to a penalty it was memphis movements which got it. I think lvg did a fair enough job there. Our team many a time play like headless chickens. I find it hard to believe that they were told to be like that

Same here. I purposely went a couple of games without watching and I felt much more positive. I sat down to watch the game last night and I've still got a sick feeling in my stomach this morning which will last till the next game when it will be compounded. It's not the result's, it's the fact that he obviously doesn't get it. Probably won't be watching another game till he gets the sack, for my own sake. I really don't get how so many people still turn up to watch that.

They play like they don't train together. That's clearly the responsibility of the manager

I would personally like to thank LVG. Ever since he bacame United manager I'm getting much more sleep of a Saturday night. Cause even if i do stay up to watch the game LVGs game plan usually puts me to sleep within 10 minutes.

Literally this every game
