When Sheffield United fans started singing you're getting sacked in the morning a few united fans where I was sat applauded them.

We fluked a result. Since the debacle of 4 losses, we have scapped a draw against a tepid Chelsea side. Scarapped wins against Swansea and this result...which really is much worse than the last two.

There has been no improvement. simple.

Liverpool are needing a replay against a team in the 4th tier.

And the consensus seems to be that Klopp is great.
 
In all honesty, I was impressed with the press conference after the game. He admitted we were terrible and agreed with the press a lot which was new to me. Still said his usual nonsense about 10 men behind the ball making it harder etc. but a reporter then asked him why we haven't got better at that in over a year since he joined. He essentially said what I'd have hoped he said/admitted in the conference.

It's a sad case that's the only positive I can think of today regarding the game. Because the match and post match interview were a disgrace.

I'm just saying that a cup tie against a team like Sheff Utd is always a potential upset. The aim in a tie like this is to get through, preferably at the first time of asking. We did both - you can hardly complain at that.

it's not too expensive at all, he has 18 months on his deal left and is on £6 million a year, so it'd cost £9 million + a bit more his back room staff, so let's say £12 million max, not a lot for a club about to turnover £500 m, and if needs must then I'd be happy for this amount to be knocked off the summer transfer budget to get rid now.

Sheffield United at home is at a push a potential 'banana skin' I suppose, but the way we went about it was beyond the joke, and enough is more than enough now, but until Woodward can admit his mistake we are stuck.

Pretty much 18 months of awful, uninspiring, 'shit on a stick' football. No 1st half goals in 10 odd games with no signs of any improvement...yet unbelievably he acts as if everything is great and anybody criticising is incapable of understanding what he's doing.

He stabilised us after Moyes and he has pedigree but his current performance as manager is akin to an 'emperor's new clothes' con.

He needs to go before we have any chance of returning to the European elite - I had some sympathy for Moyes, who was way out of his depth and clueless. LVG is arrogant, stubborn and borderline delusional if he thinks it's good enough. I'm at my tether watching this great club produce 'that' on a weekly basis - awful.
 
It's good for him that we have another game so soon on Tuesday. A far better performance with a win and we can all move on, instead of stewing on this for a week with more mass speculation in the press.

Yes, I watched it. It was not great but it was better than getting soundly beaten by MK Dons

Yep spot on, and to Klopp's credit he allowed the kids to dig themselves out without calling on any of the seniors, we on the other hand couldn't even risk playing a great young player like Periera.

Our first 11 just about beat a league 1 team, we were dog awful. The bigger picture though, at least Liverpool are starting to playing good football under Klopp, we are getting worse and worse under LVG.

That is absolutely disgusting. It's the fans who are getting mugged off. A lot of us pay between 40 and 50 quid a time to see a game at old Trafford, and for half the game feck all is going on. I don't know how this is being allowed to continue, I really don't.
 
I can understand the argument around the time we beat Watford 2-1. I myself was buying it a little. That argument being that we may play shit football but we get results. We were right up there at the top of the league and only needed to beat PSV to go through that group with a game to spare. It's not pretty but we need to just get back up there (something many pro Mouriniho people argue on here, with his record he would do just that) - then we can think about the sexy football, maybe with the plan to put Giggs in after we have won a league title.

What has happened since then has simply been shit on a stick. No results and poor quality Football. I mean, what is football about? Some clubs may argue that they get results with bad football, for example Crystal Palace staying up in 2013/14 - they just needed to stay up, then they thought about good football which they are doing now. Some clubs argue that they play good football with mixed results, for example Bournemouth earlier this season. At United, it's shit football which shit results, then you add in the fact we are such a huge club and the expectation factor and you have to ask, how is the manager who is implementing this style to get results and NOT GETTING THEM, still in a job?

I know we won today but I would be selling my season ticket if I had one after that today.

The bullshit he spouts before and after every single game is utterly embarrassing. His pathetic excuses are worse than everything Moyes used to say and he was a clown as well. Sometimes I watch/read his post-match comments and find them so mind-boggling that I wonder if he's actually on a wum, but then I remind myself that he's just deluded and stubborn.

The only reasonable explanation is that Van Gaal is running the club, otherwise the morons from the board don't have any excuse whatsoever for leaving him as manager this long. Even Stevie Wonder could see that we're going nowhere under Van Gaal and he's f*cking blind!
