Best comment ever. Confidence all started going to shit when media, some fans and ex players kept putting the pressure on. I knew it would feck our season. WAs so obvious. At the end of the day we needed to get results one way or another - never mind how boring - because were still trying to get back to where we were - this was the most important thing - not exciting football - we could have waited for that or binned LVG at the end of the season provided that we were still getting results. Instead we've created a mess in the middle of the season.

It serves us right what comes next. In the meantime, LVG needs to resign and leave the madhouse behind. I can't bear the circus anymore.

Right. You saw all this coming. Give me a break. Have you ever considered that other people are just as smart as you and they have their own pair of eyes which saw that the ugly wins earlier in the season masked some serious deficiencies in LVG's squad size, selection and substitution decisions. I am sure you can come up with some weird and histrionic reason for playing ultra cautious football at home versus effing PSV or sending on Nick effing Powell when we are chasing for CL survivial. Just because you think winning in an ugly manner is sufficient and is befitting of a club with the history and stature of United, doesn't mean other people should accept the same or should not voice their dissatisfaction with a style and brand of football which is completely out of sync with what they're used to.

What you shouldn't be surprised by is the fact that when other teams started figuring out how to beat this brand of excruciatingly conservative football the results started going against us.

We can get into a long and difficult debate on whether the club should adjust to the manager or vice versa. But I won't because people like you like to be condescending and only become scathing after the fact and say "I told you so". The fact is, we hold ourselves out to be one of the biggest club in the world with an established pedigree and style of football. If that's really the case, then why should we not expect the club to be run like a Barcelona or Bayern Munich. Or we should follow blindly a man who says we should not even yearn for the days of yore and readjust our expectations after we gave him 250m in transfer fees alone to play with.

Could you just imagine if Fergie walked out of the tunnel and managed the team today? Would probably have LVG's blood smeared on his face and all, etc. as a way of motivating the players.

Would be tremendous scenes.
Everything you said except for the bit in red. A bit violent that.

I'm pretty certain secretly replacing LVG with SAF and not announcing it would actually be against the NYSE rules. Finally.

I have never been condenscending to anyone here. You're acting like i absolve LVG of all blame - I do not - but I discussed the mitigating circumstances around our collapse. If you don't agree fine. I don't care. But don't accuse me of acting like I'm smarter than anyone else - I have never done that. I just give my observations.

Sorry if i misunderstood, i am not blaming Woody for anything. But i will be very concerned if LvG is still in charge after today's game. As for the players, they are absolutely responsible as well, but as i have said it before, it is hard to give 100% when you dislike your manager.
I have seen no evidence of this. Every newspaper claim has been proven to be BS by the player. The views of ex-players are expected if they did not fit into his philosophy. We even hear Falcao say he is not given a chance at Chelsea, totally ignoring his own performances.

The players do not look confused or as though they are not playing for the manager, they lack confidence. We should not lose sight of the fact that for the majority of the early part of the season there was at least 2 players being carried by the team in every game. LVG should have done something about that, but he didn't for whatever reason. Why he kept Rooney and Depay playing beats me. He will be held to account for that.

The issue now is that when we go behind due to a player fecking up, rather than outstanding play from the opponents , certain players heads drop as they have no confidence in other players to turn it around. A lot of players need to take a good long hard look at themselves.

Fergies probably throwing boots around the dressing room. No way he's happy with the crap some are putting on display.

100% agree. People are to quick to blame the players. Not saying they are not playing shite but I see no evidence of players not giving it their all or deliberately under performing.

Ferguson pre kick off :

''In terms of ahh ya know, '' not good enough.. bloody hell
''Roonay'', them bricks in your shoes, .. not feeling them at all'', bloody score some''
''We're Manchester United, this has to stop'', Marial lad,.. what french toast you been eating...good lad''
''Uh where is he..the greatest player ever...Johnny, Jon, Phil, you still here''?... Smalling'''good boy.

Now get them.

SteveJ will love this, that's a proper Daily Mail sad/angry face!

I feel that a lot of stuff like this is increasingly done for reasons of attention-seeking or personal publicity rather than because those involved actually give a damn; a bit like when unknown comedians interrupt, say, Kanye's latest gig or throw a custard pie at Rupert Murdoch.

Can anyone remember that show called Big Ron Manager? Reminds me of when Barry Fry had to go and manage Peterborough because the manager they had were beyond shit.

If LVG leads the players out of the tunnel like Moyes, I will seriously off myself.

:lol: I remember that. The manager quit 15mins before the game because St Ledger refused to play at right back so Barry Fry took over for that game.

There he is!

That's a massive belt he's wearing.

Our club is amazing.

Maybe the CEO refused the immediate resignation because he wanted a little bit more time to fix the after LVG, maybe Mourinho wanted a little bit more time with his family, maybe the CEO needed to convince other people.

But there is no maybe concerning the idiocy of the press.

If that is correct, that is a very unhealthy situation. Never thought i would witness LVG losing faith in himself. Bloody hell, that United hot seat is one hell of a job.

If being the key word. The fact is people take it in, even if the guy might have got the story this morning while wiping his arse. It is rumor and not worthy of speculation. Ultimately Woodward will get slagged off but is it true? We don't know. It seems pretty stupid to me. If the Glazers were desperate to sack him, the CEO would have no say anyway.

So it's a nothing story from a prat on twitter.

I'd much prefer if we weren't so incompetent and there was nothing to moan about.

You've been moaning for as long as I can remember reading the caf. At least noodlehair is funny, you're just boring.

He'll be sacked after Chelsea I imagine because the club will have more time to appoint a replacement. It's OBVIOUSLY not a case of the board deciding he's still the right man for the job if he himself wants to leave.

So allegedly, man never landed on the moon....

These Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime on twitter are just craving for attention by posting any rubbish with nothing to back it up

His programme notes certainly do not suggest he is a man about to walk away

Although it's hard to work out if they were written before or after the Stoke game
