Good start like a few games.

But no goal and then last 15 minutes with us giving constant fouls.

A good 45 minutes, albeit against poor opposition without a striker. Not sure it really counts for much though when it's weighed against 4 months of poor performances and 6 weeks of poor results.

Yep. The thing is Chelsea look old, slow and tired.

Teams like Stoke who are aggressive and press us do far better against us.

Good performance but nothing even remotely approaching a cutting edge. Rooney just doesn't cut it as a central striker.

No surprise we look a lot more mobile and athletic with the likes of Schneiderlin and Darmian back in the lineup.

Attacking has improved but that's because chelski actually are willing to come out of their box to attack us. We are still struggling to create any good chances on goal after the initial flurry.

Its still more of the same shit except with slightly more urgency.

I'd read this several times elsewhere and assumed it to be true. Having done a bit of digging on Google following your polite correction though, it looks like we can sack LVG before notifying the NYSE. Surprised we haven't yet then.

a lie told often enough becomes the truth.

Back to no movement whatsoever in the final third.

Well those first 10-15 minutes were fun.

If this is his last game, then so far it's a neat summary of his reign - loads of possession, limited scoring opportunities and no goals.

I am certain now that he won't be leaving after this performance, well the first 45 mins performance anyway.

Best we've played in ages = 0-0 after 73 minutes against one of the worst performing teams in the league with no manager.

Becomes evident in games like this, the lack of quality in our side for a squad assembled for quite a few quid.

Players like Ashley Young, while they do a job (and that means its hard to dislike them too much), are an example of low standards in our first XI.

That we couldn't beat a terrible Chelsea side is really pathetic. Who cares we hit the post twice, at the end of the day it's 8 games without a win.

In any case, LvG should get the sack just for destroying any sense of urgency the players have. Five minutes remaining and the players play as if they are 2-0 up.

Worst result possible. He won't get sacked now because we played better and hit the woodwork twice.

LVG will announce tomorrow morning that he is walking away...this was decided for him a while ago.

Yeah.......in a bit LVG

Looks like a completely defeated man he realises and he will walk I'm sure

We looked really good for 30 mins or so against an apathetic Chelsea team who weren't trying to do anything. Then, revert to type.

3 wins in 15 is not near good enough. This result is perfect for us to part ways, no humbling defeat that embarasses him out the door
