Guys, I came upon a nice video.
T.Henry compares Guardiola's Barca with LVG's MUFC.
For the bottom 2/3rds of the pitch, bascially, it is an identical system.
However, in the final 1/3 of the pitch - there is a big difference.

It also explains why the "system" prevents us from scoring goals.
And the video also shows how to break down a team who are defending in numbers (something we see a lot against us).

I am starting to believe he is not going anywhere. He will be given money to spend in the window.

Just wait til tomorrow, he will be gone after losing to Chelsea gutless and fightless, no two ways about it. Losing 5 games in a row will be his end, even for our board.

Dude, seriously. Have you seen us play? We have lost 4 in a row. We drew 3 games before that.
Do you honestly see us winning against Chelsea? If so, I'd be very interested in your logic.
Well it stems from the fact Chelsea have been pretty poor themselves during the same period. At home we're normally far better and anything can happen in big games. I'm not saying we will win but I don't think it's that improbable. My issue is that a one off win at this stage against an underfiring Chelsea shouldn't be enough to save his job, but then I struggle to imagine us sacking a manager that's just won a match..

I can't understand waiting. Sack him now before the season is completely lost
That's my gripe.

It seems the board are waiting until it is impossible for us to turn the season around before making a decision.

It will take a miracle for us to put a run together with tactics that LvG is drumming into them and making them play. We may scrape the odd single goal victory here and there, but we won't be setting the world alight and making any progress.

The board need to make a decision now before there is nothing to fight for. Bringing in a top class manager like Mourinho could be the catalyst needed to push us on, and he'd be far fetched to make our team morale drop any lower.

your username sums our situation up nicely

He's not going anywhere is he :(

If he's not gone by the end of Tuesday then he's our manager for the foreseeable future.

So we're actually begging him to stay? feck me, you couldn't make this up :lol:

This club is an utter utter shambles, on and off the pitch.

.....nope. Read that twice now and I still don't see where he says he doesn't know how to solve the crisis.

James Ducker: I'm a shite journalist.

The quotes are not exactly of a man fighting for his job or in control of the situation.

He is asked on two occasions questions which a manager should answer positively and try to raise morale, but his answers are of a beaten man, waiting to be sacked.

I just don't see the point on this. Even if he somehow manages to turn it and finish this season in top 4, he would still have just an another year here.

And of course, chances of that happening is close to null.

The headline is a blatant lie because he didn't say it, no matter how anyone tries to spin it or excuse it.

Journos are just guessing.

Chuck enough shit at the wall and some will stick.

When LVG goes they'll all come crawling out proclaiming that they were right all along, obviously ignoring that they've been saying the same shite for a week now.

"He's getting fired tomorrow. I mean tomorrow. I mean tomorrow... Tomorrow.... He's not getting fired he's going to quit tomorrow.... Tomorrow..... TOLD YOU!!!"

All he says is its hard to raise spirits and only a victory will really do that now.
You should know by now that what is written is gospel. Of course a meeting between a CEO and a manager would be leaked to a journalist to deliberately undermine the manager and put added pressure on the team. Just can't believe how gullible some people are.

What the hell are we playing at if that really is his attitude.

My take is that the board doesn't want Giggs and are unsure about Mourinho or they don't want Giggs and already have Guardiola. But they don't want Giggs and therefore have no caretakers in mind.

it's like watching dumb and dumber feat. van gaal and the united board.

This is about as bad it gets, this screams of Woodward not wanting to admit his mistake and get rid of him, it also screams of the board having no idea what to do if they do get rid.

Even if we win tomorrow it'll solve nothing.
