I said this on Tuesday and I still believe that's what will happen.

I think we are going to convince him to resign to save face, all this talk somethings going to be done about the situation.

How can anyone in their right mind give him any more time? He's completely broken. He's meant to be the leader of one of the biggest teams in worldwide sport and he was sat there today with a face like a quivering bollock. He just needs to go, for our sake but also his.

He needs about three top class players, he's never going to get that in the winter transfer window.

Right jlw he needs 3 players who will put themselves on the line for him. A hero basically to come in and save the day. Whether that's someone at the club already, or coming in.

Sad stage to be at. Heroes swooping in saving the day.

The radio silence on Twitter across all journalists today is quite telling I'd say. Not even a hint of a tabloid making a story up for clicks - I suspect they've been told to sit tight and wait for something.

''Louis Van Gaal has to avoid defeat against Chelsea and Sheffield United to save his job.''
That would be typical, how do they think he can win those games when he has obviously lost the players. Good planning, make sure that we have any no chance of winning anything except the Europa League, which we won't win anyway.

They were never going to sake him while he's on the bus back to manchester, most likely there'll be a meeting with him tomorrow morning before making an announcement.

The back pages are actually quite smug, especially after LVG demanded an apology from them:

EDIT: Apologies, didn't read thread title.

It does seem to be strangely quiet from the journalists on Twitter. They usually love sticking the boot in

English media just fecking love Wayne Rooney don't they? He's plastered over everything no matter how irrelevant he is in terms of performance.

I know. Irritating:rolleyes:

50 years time. We've just won the Champions League, after a dramatic penalty shoot-out against Real Madrid. And the headline photo is an ageing Rooney celebrating in the crowd.

its all about timing. Just got a feeling it's Jose and the fact the Chelsea games come so soon, he or Man Utd wouldn't have wanted the circus that would have come with it if appointed before it. It's simple if Utd didn't want Jose, just realise a statement separating themselves from him?

Sack him now to allow the new manager to buy some players in January. No point of keeping him anymore, it's clearly not working out.

would a draw against Chelsea be enough to save LvG?

Would depend how it happened. If we were to make a comeback after being 2-0 behind, for example, to salvage a point then he'd perhaps earn himself more time. A 0-0 draw would only further consign him, though, however if his current form doesn't get him the sack before the end of the season then I'm beginning to struggling in seeing what actually will.

Or if Van Gaal's job was safe, do something to refute the rumours that abound in the press. The silence is deafening.

Why has this guy still got a job?

We are truly the slowest fecking club to act on anything!

Run by a bunch of dithers. We are Manchester United, not entitled to win everything but we are one of the world elite club and should start acting like it. For me it starts from the boardroom down, set high expectations high and get people who you think can achieve them. If it doesn't work make a change.

It was amazing we had SAF for so long, but the club and sections of the fans need to realise that its very unlikely that kind of tenure will ever happen again at the highest level.
