manager's must be able to instill an winning mentality or a belief in their system or LC wouldn't be where they are.

the excuse of injuries or players not being up for it are bullshit. when we had a full squad we were dull as shit.

he's failed.

Well said. If Woodward isn't signing Jose as we speak his is the next position that should be under review.

His position should be under review if he is not securing Pep. Maureen is a one man circus, and it will end in tears with him.

How the feck is he still in a job?

- No win in 7
- 4 defeats in a row
- 4 wins in 16
- 14 wins in 34
- 6th in the table
- Out of the CL group stage
- Knocked out of the LC by Championship team

Seriously, what else does he have to do to get sacked?
fecking hell looks worse when it's written out like that!

I think so too. He's had a great career and he should end it by just walking away. It's semantics really because he'd get sacked soon anyway, but it's an even sadder way to end a successful career to get sacked.

He needs to walk before folks start all out disrespecting him. We might see planes flying around OT for the next home game if he stays.

It's beyond embarrassing now.

I'd vote again if I could hurry it up.

Why sis this so hard. We're a top club, enough cash to buy top players. Passionate fan base.

Why oh why have we got someone who is trying some left field process experiment with players who want to go out and play exciting attacking football. Football ain't that complicated.

We could employ half of the prem managers at the moment and have a better outcome than what doctor Doolittle is trying to fabricate.

I hope he is gone in the morning. If he is here for chelsea game, there should be riot.

Get the feeling he will be gone before Chelsea, really sorry it didnt work out for him as I enjoyed his press conferences, he did a decent enough job after taking over from Moyes last season and we battered liverpool when ever played him under LVG.

I was in favor of giving him till the end of the season but I cant see him turning it around along with being poor to watch for some time now,so I hope LVG does us a favor and moves on or is relieved of his duties.

Im not looking forward to the Chelsea game at this point.

Looking forward to a game probably hasn't been a thing for quite a while now.

I look forward to seeing what someone with more attacking will could do with this lot.

- Joint 10th for goals scored (22) with Bournemouth
- Watford, Everton, Palace, Spurs, Everton, Leicester, West Ham and Chelsea have all scored more
- City and Leicester have scored 15 more goals then us
- We're 18th in the table for chances created (136) behind the likes of Sunderland, Villa and Norwich
- Only Newcastle and West Brom, on average, create more chances per game the United

So LVG said in the post match press conference that its his own choice to meet the board to discuss the current situation and not the boards or Ed Woodwards.

The board and Ed Woodward are the ones that need their heads checking for not reprimanding him. Hes got to go asap but Woodys not got the bollocks to do it.

As someone commented earlier, it's more Woodward's incompetence than LVG's at this point.

I think he meant that he was going to talk to the board, and not the media. Remember that his English is quite limited and we usually got to interpret him instead of taking it literally :p

United under Moyes/LvG will be known as the dark years.

Maybe it's not all Moyes/LVG 's fault... looking at the members of the board it's clear none of them are footballing men.
It's the blind leading the blind back there. Who is going to suggest that we forget bale and Neymar and focus on targets like griezmann or aubameyang?

I'm tired of checking this thread hoping to see he's sacked. It's been the case for a couple of weeks now and it's pretty tiresome.

Just f*cking do it already. We've become a laughing stock.

Exactly, and it's ironic he counts mendes as a personal friend and yet woodie can only sign a star if he falls in his lap. Woodward does not seem to be great at negotiating for players in general.

The board is not run by footballing men.

We need to have a board and management who knows modern football. I cant seem to understand why we dont act. In the end we will act, that we have known for a while now, because LvG will not change anything now. So in the end, our board member and club will look like assholes.

I hope so! Surely Woodwards prepared for this. It was hardly unexpected today.

To avoid this happening over and over again we need a DOF and/or changes to the board. We do not have subject matter experts in there and it is costing the club dearly.

Knocked out of the FA Cup?

The scouse cnuts sacked Brenton right after the Everton game. What the feck is taking so long?

If Woodward does not sack him soon, he deserves to be sacked too. Our season is not getting saved by LVG.

Probably worth remembering it's Boxing Day, and yesterday was Christmas. A decision would require a good number of folks being consulted, meetings arranged and so forth - many such people are likely travelling or busy.

I'd expect something to happen Monday or even Tuesday given the UK holiday.

Most of us expected to see a reaction today. Sadly, we did, but not the kind we wanted.

I've been a fan for a long time and I haven't seen the score predictor every that bad before a match...not even during Moyes tenure! We all knew what was coming....just like after that Fulham game with Moyes...there ain't any way back for LVG.

Bit close, that's the problem.

And if Norwich at home doesn't do it, why should Stoke away, an always tough game, change their thinking?

I think it's optimism to think the board will suddenly rush a decision through now

Ps Tom cleverly just scored the game winner against Newcastle, it's good to see our old boys doing well.

"4 wins in 16" is tough to argue with. That's basically a third of the season that we've been relegation level.

LvG's biggest mistake was to believe that Rooney and Depay could carry our attack during this season, playing Henrnandez and Nani would probably have been a better idea. And to enter the season with only two strikers is sheer madness. And it gets even worse when you consider that one of them is 19 years old and unproven and the other one peaked when Torres and Drogba did. No wonder that we can't score.
