I was thinking that, I was also wondering if Ward-Prowse might be worth a cheeky punt.
The photo?Maybe he has got 2 accounts. Post the photo!
It can happen. Remember that YouTube clip last summer of the Scousers sitting in a car with Baines asking him if he was coming to United and he said he didnt know...Guys this might sound really stupid, but my friend has just met Luke Shaw while shopping.
He asked him if he's coming to united, and his words were "hopefully".
Looks like it's not actually a done deal yet, but he wants to come. It's a good sign right
i read an article a few months back, trying to explain why Southampton had been creating so many good young players.I think we should at least ask the question, even if we then loan him back to them for a season. I think he looks a talent.
BTW, whatever it is they put in the water in Southampton a few years back, can we possibly buy some of that as well?
With Shaw and Rafael on the flanks and De Gea in goal we have an astonishingly bright future, we just need to sign a ball-playing cb to play alongside one of Jones/Evans/Smalling and we're set.
nothing really to report.I haven't really followed this story a lot, what's the latest ? Is it done ?
Evans is a ball playing CB
nothing really to report.
lots of the media claimed we bid after the game sunday, neither club has confirmed or denyed it, and thats it.
everything else just rumors
Presumably because it's been constantly reported all season. Doesn't make it any more done but as soon as a few people start buying into it everyone eventually does, I like the optimism though, much better than all the depressing posts about how useless we are at getting transfers done and people leading a revolution against Ed.Then why a lot of people seem to be convinced that it's done ?

It's usually quiet for a few days before anyone knows if the bid has been rejected/accepted/made at all.i dunno, u'd have to ask them.
all can tell you is their is no evidence anywhere whether things are going well or things are going bad, or even it 100% anything is happening at all.
All we know is that alot of the media said we bid, but nothing else.
it it dosnt go through, i don't think you could blame this one on Woodward, if we did bid 27million, then woodward has doen his job, it would be simply down to the club not wanting to sell or Shaw not wanting to join united.Presumably because it's been constantly reported all season. Oh I agree, I don't think Woodward's to blame at all. £27m is a more than reasonable price for Shaw when taking into consideration that we're paying mostly for potential as opposed to current ability.it it dosnt go through, i don't think you could blame this one on Woodward, if we did bid 27million, then woodward has doen his job, it would be simply down to the club not wanting to sell or Shaw not wanting to join united.
if we have gone straight in with a 27mil bid, no messing around, what ever happens woodward deserves praise for learning from the mistakes of last year, and been more decisive this year
yeah i agree, either things go at a break neck speed or some times they drag out. im not saying ita bad sign or a good sign, though obviously the longer it goes on (say we havn't heard out this time next week) then it starts to become a bad sign. It's usually quiet for a few days before anyone knows if the bid has been rejected/accepted/made at all.
I agree, I think Jones can be as well. I should have said "another ball playing cb".
well we have to hope woody has learned from last summer, where at times he did look a bit silly, flying back from Australia for "urgent transfer business" puting in stupidly low bids for fabregas, and baines.Oh I agree, I don't think Woodward's to blame at all. £27m is a more than reasonable price for Shaw when taking into consideration that we're paying mostly for potential as opposed to current ability.
Agreed as well. I can't believe how impatient people are being, they're saying we're too slow with our dealings ... we put the bid in for him as soon as the season ended. I think we'll definitely be seeing a few signings here in summer regardless of Shaw which will be entirely down to the good work of Woody.
Its been two days.
Two.
2.
TWO.
Van Persie won the league for us. I doubt that will be forgotten. He's already up there with the likes of Yorke who always get trotted out by Sky.
I highly doubt they want Buttner, they have young players coming through and it would be counter productive. Afterall trusting young Shaw worked out
Pretty much always right though, at least about midfield.
Always remain the same with your negative bollocks Sarni.

They seem to have had a deal before a 3rd party got involved. Presumably that 3rd party is gone. They have Clyne and Chambers at right back, with Clyne able to play on the left side. Seems like Buttner would be perfect for them. He`s not exactly past it, either.

Your friend is lying. I'm out eating tea with him and before that we were at his house. He hasn't been shopping today!

Le Tissier is a hero at Southampton, van Persie's name is mud at Arsenal and he'll soon be a footnote at OT.
i read an article a few months back, trying to explain why Southampton had been creating so many good young players.
was summit to do with a change of rule in the 90's limiting catchment areas to clubs, which left Southampton with a big advantage as they have the only serious your academy south of london, while other clubs have to battle one other for the talent in their areas
dunno if this true or not as im not in anyway an expert on young player recuritment and how it works..... but though i'd share
It's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't.
