no thier nothing unsual about this, happens loads of times every summer, media and fans go mad for a few days about a reported bid, deadly silence, somtimes somthings comes out of it and it just takes some time(Yorke, Berbatov, Carrick, Van perssie, mata, fellaini....), some times it comes to nothing or turns out to be nothing or it gets rejected(ronaldinho, Kluivert, Sniejder, Moura, Thiago, Fabregas, Herrea...)
my point is at this stage we no absolutely nothing ther than the media think we might have bid, we dunno if was a frim bid and enquiry, if it has been rejected accepted is been negotiated, if shaw has said he dosn't want to come, does wanna come, wants more moeny, or combination of a few of the above......

According to an article I glanced over yesterday, Shaw was rejected by Chelsea and Arsenal among others before he went to Southampton.
I agree i would rather be worshiped at my local club and a hero forever than be just another player at one of the top teams that will be forgotten about when someone better takes my place. Loyalty is called a lack of ambition on here though.
