Southamptons record transfer received is 15m for Oxlade. That was 12m down and 3 in instalments. They really cannot turn this down.
Not from elsewhere, from us. We will sign him for around £35m knowing us.
Southampton would be crazy to hold out for more. 27 million pounds makes him the second most expensive fullback of all time, at the age of 18.
Imagine being 18 years old and in one week you're called up to the World Cup squad and signed by Manchester United for £27m! Jesus.
Why do you think he's reliable?
Not unthinkable that his reluctance to making things quickly last season was down to Moyes' dithering.Unlike Moyes, Woody seems to have learnt and improved.
Keep the muppetry under control!I know. Have a strong feeling about it though. We missed out on Bale years ago, this kid has the same potential at the same age. Lets just wait and see, so many English early bloomers have been a let down. Awaiting confirmation by United.
Its a pain searching for the link to the SSN post now. What happened to the no more megathreads idea?
Isn't the Mirror unrelierable as a source? The Mirror now saying that we have agreed a 25 mill fee and his signature is a formality. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-transfers-luke-shaw-3529790
1 day after the season ends.... Silly season begins!!
Jokes aside, be a great purchase! Looks like Evra is on his way out now, him and Buttner shows promise for the future!! Get this deal sorted pre world cup!!
With Smalling and Valencia on the other side we'll play like we've had a stroke.
Guardian haven't reported it nor do they have anything on their site but Jamie Jackson, a journalist of theirs just tweeted:
He's up there with Ogden for me, been very reliable in the past.
Isn't the Mirror unrelierable as a source?
However Get in good work Woody.
The fact that the BBC are reporting that the club haven't made any comment suggests that the bid has been made and the negotiations are ongoing.

I'm sure it is utter garbage like most of the tabloids.
Unlike Moyes, Woody seems to have learnt and improved.
I'd be astonished if Southampton accept the first bid, this transfer still has a while in it.
In fairness one is still here and one isn't. It's probably a lot easier to improve when you're the one still in a job.
Yup. A little while after this post, about 10 minutes ago, The Guardian put up their first article about it:This is serious business now. All the reliable outlets saying the same thing. Luke Shaw as our LB next season? Excellent!
Well a few journalists were saying that Moyes laid down the ground work for the Shaw transfer.
They'll want something in the mid 30's I'd imagine. Especially as we paid 27 for FellainiI can't say I'd be astonished, 27m is a lot of money for a left back. It's a very good starting offer.
