Luke Shaw | Deal done! Almost...

Why would that worry you, did you pay for a secret webcam in his room?

Would you really be comfortable with a fella who chanced upon twin Playboy bunnies and didn't try for the ultimate bucket-list cross off in your back four? Clearly, such an individual does not posses the tactical nous needed to be a top class defender.

It's not really telling us anything new, is it?

Will we have to pay more for him now because he's got that "valuable World Cup experience*"??

*Going on holiday and not playing in any meaningful games of football

Who the feck really cares?

If we sign Shaw we sign Shaw, if Southampton genuinely want more than £30m for him then he's a left back, theres far cheaper options out there that would do the job.

This deal has been stretched out so long, I dont care if we got Shaw, Moreno or Luis.
30M will buy any top shelf left back...if it isnt Shaw, it'll be someone else.

Southampton are clearly playing hardball over the fee, which they're entitled to do. The player seemingly wants to come but if they think he'll knuckle down there if they refuse or they can get more money in the future for him, that's their choice. They might be right, they might be wrong.

From our point of view, I do think we're getting near time to give an ultimatum to them though. Accept the bid/name your price or we're moving on.

I still think £27 million is a hell of an offer for a teenage left back. I'll be interested to see how Blind does against Chile. Rumour is he might play left side of the centre half three today. Even if he plays left wing back you'd think he'll come up directly against Sanchez at some point, so I'll be keen to see how he copes with that.

Think he's playing left wing back again, certainly judging by the Dutch eleven.

Exactly, what is needed is to improve the left back position. If thats Shaw, brilliant, if its not its someone else. It's hard to get particularly invested in this saga.

When I was a teenager I wanted to pull out Lil CurryCantona and present it to a girl at any given oppurtunity. Too bad my first opportunity came in my 20s.

Why blame Shaw? Every young person wants sex.

If you were referring to it as that, I think I can tell you where you might have been going a bit wrong.

Tbf, they're sisters. Incest doesn't make me very comfortable in general tbh.

As for Mathieson, blatant slow news day article.

During his facebook webchat , MEN United reporter Stuart Mathieson said when asked if it was a done deal: "No. Looked very likely to happen before World Cup but then Southampton changed manager and things have gone quiet. Think it is down to about 75 per cent now."
75%:DThat's actually quite a good % in terms of transfer dealings. Just another article that seems to be based on nothing but assumptions

DailyMail saying he's agreed a 100k per week contract, has that been posted already?

Starting tomorrow Jones and Smalling contained in the defence also.

So if Luke Shaw is man of the match tomorrow will Southampton add another £5-10m on his price tag?

It's a joke they're asking for 30 million, so if they do they can feck off.

Rather get Blind then some overhyped english kid that has had an ok season for a bad club. If he was that bloody amazing he would be Englands left back. We want to spend 30 million on a left back as a starter for Manchester United that cant play for England. Nope, go for blind.

Utterly shit reasoning.

Biggest load of tripe I've ever seen.
