We're investigating,

No need to investigate. I won't be coming back here again. I haven't been rude or name called anyone in this thread. I've been civil and just aired my concerns on a forum which I thought was for sharing opinions with my fellow fans. But I guess I was wrong. Anyway a warning should be issued to new members that if you don't toe the line on this forum you get ridiculed and harassed until you finally submit or leave.

Sorry to see you go. Best of luck. :)

It's not about towing the line, it's about not being hysterical. You actually used the word relegated

Stop being so dramatic.

Take a break, enjoy the summer and World Cup, get a tan, go fishing, come back after a while because it's just another day in transfer muppet paradise.

Don't take things so personally mate. You have as much right as anybody else to an opinion.

Hi mate.

I hate to butt in but I can assure you there are very few people in here that are as fair as Raoul. Give him time and he'll tackle it.

This place is not perfect but its a nice place to be.

This deal is happening, let's calm down. Hopefully it's done in the next week or so.

Where is your proof that we will not make any signings?

Last season. Same things happening again. We target a young and upcoming player ever newspaper is buzzing about how we are going to sign him and then he goes elsewhere. Woodward not willing to spend top dollar on signing and others come in and take them from us. I've seen absolutely nothing to suggest this won't happen again. It would have done the fans and club a great deal of good to sign at least one player before the WC, but instead we have to hope we can get some in before the start of next season. At an inflated price if they have a great WC.

He's made our most expensive signing ever in signing Mata and spent 27 million on Fellaini. Our 5th most expensive signing ever (:wenger:) Oh loosen those purse strings Woody, you old Scrooge!

England fly out to the USA on Sunday (I think) so ideally it gets done pretty much by tomorrow. I'm not sure whether Roy will allow players to take medicals while in Miami.

The Shaw transfer seems to be developing in a positive way for us. With talks set to resume today, there is nothing to suggest that last summer's fiasco will be repeated. Woodward fecked up last summer but it wasn't entirely his fault as the whole summer was a disaster beginning with the managerial appointment, the club/Moyes failing to identify realistic targets and in the end signing a player in the last minute of the window for a ridiculous amount of money when he had a release clause and we let it expire - the definition of a panic buy.

With his handling of the Mata transfer in January, Woodward redeemed himself and we should really show some patience as I'm sure the club shares the fans' opinion that we need strenghtening this summer (he already said that we'll be ''active'' in the market). Surely there is a lot going on behind the scenes not only regarding possible incomings but with clearing out the deadwood as well.

Signing Shaw would be absolutely fantastic and would be the first big step in the strenghtening process.

Having alternate opinions is always welcome but getting hysterical on the internet will always attract ridicule. Perhaps you'll see what you did and realize why it got the reaction that it did.

Certainly was about to do that before getting being called a WUM.

Why would we finish outside the top ten?

Our squad is aging. We've lost Ferdinand and Vidic and what's left behind aren't up to scratch in my opinion. New manager without reinforcements never tested in the BPL could struggle and we could finish outside the top ten.

Shocking. I hope those responsible feel dreadful right now!

Meanwhile, back at the Caf.

Pretty evident shaw is holding the deal up. Southampton clearly aren't fussed about selling their players before a new manager comes In , and England doesn't have much to do with it. Shaw wants a move to Chelsea.

No idea how you can come to this conclusion. Southampton's chairman recently said any deals were put on hold until the future of MP was sorted. Liverpool put in a bid for Lallana around the same time as our Shaw bid and there has been nothing reported on that since either. Does that mean he isn't interested in joining them either? Considering the fact the deal for Lambert was only agreed in the last 24 hours and AFTER MP had left the club then the delay in the Shaw deal is understandable and ties in with what their chairman said. Given the large transfer fee involved this deal was always going to be a bit protracted. I'm sick of all the pessimism on here. How does a delay in the Shaw deal mean he is holding out for Chelsea when pretty much every news source are saying our deal to sign him is only a matter of time, many others linking Chelsea with Filipe Luis from Athletico Madrid and some saying our offer for Shaw is the only one even on the table? :wenger:

So in conclusion not it's not pretty evident that Shaw is holding up the deal. It's Southampton that is responsible for that.

TBH, if I was Shaw then I would wait until after the world cup too. If he has a good world cup then his options are much wider. If he doesn't, then he is just where he is now. There aren't really any benefits to him to push it through.
Hopefully we will get him, but you can't blame the kid for holding on (which might not even be happening). His next career move is massive for him.

I'm going to assume it's not Shaw holding up the deal. If he wasn't interested in the slightest with a move to us, surely you'd expect him to laugh off the reports.

The signings will materialise I have no doubt, we just need to be patient.

Ed is building a transporter in his office as we speak.

Kroos is frolicking with his fraulein when he suddenly dematerializes. He finds himself confronting a short bald man in black leather and high-heeled boots.

"Herr Kroos, if you look down, you will notice that an important part of you is missing. It is currently in a matter stream between here and Bavaria. If you ever wish to see it again, you will sign this contract."

Kroos signs.

If he has a horrible WC interest from us might disappears and he ends up with no move

Unless we qualify easily for the next round or Baines has a nightmare, Shaw won't even have a world cup, so his options will be no better. I think Southampton are digging their heals in, which is their right.

The Liverpool deal was agreed within a day, according to reports. Our deal is bigger but it would've been done if shaw wanted to come straight away. Lallana's deal was being held up over a price, ours isn't.

How do you know what on earth Ed Woodward and his colleagues are currently up to?

Because he seems to be doing everything, but signing players. He's got a new job. Attending Champions League final. He's doing everything, but sign players. You might say I'm being OTT and maybe I am, but he doesn't fill me with confidence. So, I'm sorry if I'm not towing the club line here. But I have real concerns. I hope I'm wrong.

All you are doing is moaning and exaggerating the issue. Have Arsenal or Chelsea made any quality signings yet? Have City?

Arsenal never sign anyone. Chelsea will sign Costa and City don't need to sign anyone as they have a great squad as it is.

Get a grip of yourself and grow up.

Exactly, but he won't be any worse off than he is now so he may as well wait. You're probably right about Saints, just trying to negotiate a bigger fee.

TBH, even if he has a bad couple of games, I'm sure our offer would still stand. We've probably scouted him for over a season, a few bad games won't put us off.

No two deals are the same and you haven't got a clue what's going on behind the scenes.
