My word man have some patience. Liverpool have signed a 32 year old striker that will be a backup for most part. Costa's deal to Chelsea hasn't been confirmed yet. And none of the other big clubs have made any signings. Also relegated ? Pff..

That's a very optimistic view of things. Perhaps a more realistic timetable is that it doesn't look like we're going to do anything before the World Cup now. By the time the World Cup is finished, there is just over a month to the start of the new Premier League season.
The signings will materialise I have no doubt, we just need to be patient.
Not every footballer in the world is going to be playing in the world cup. We can still make bids for players whilst the world cup is going on, not every team will last until the end of the tournament.

How am I a WUM? Because I have serious concerns about signing players? Didn't you watch last season's debacle and what followed?
What clubs have actually done any confirmed business yet? Chelsea sold Luiz and Liverpool bought Lambert - I can't think of any other notable moves for PL clubs.

You do realize that almost 95% of the players will be available after World Cup ?
I'm not trying to make a subject of dissent with you because my trust in Woodward comes in horrible pain of last summer but this time we have a serious manager who doesn't care about money when it comes to hunt for talents.
We're gonna have to wait and find out but this time verdict on Wooden Ed may be definitive.

Our squad is aging. We've lost Ferdinand and Vidic and what's left behind aren't up to scratch in my opinion. New manager without reinforcements never tested in the BPL could struggle and we could finish outside the top ten.

Last season. Same things happening again. We target a young and upcoming player ever newspaper is buzzing about how we are going to sign him and then he goes elsewhere. Woodward not willing to spend top dollar on signing and others come in and take them from us. I've seen absolutely nothing to suggest this won't happen again. It would have done the fans and club a great deal of good to sign at least one player before the WC, but instead we have to hope we can get some in before the start of next season. At an inflated price if they have a great WC.

Because he seems to be doing everything, but signing players. He's got a new job. Attending Champions League final. He's doing everything, but sign players. You might say I'm being OTT and maybe I am, but he doesn't fill me with confidence. So, I'm sorry if I'm not towing the club line here. But I have real concerns. I hope I'm wrong.

Arsenal never sign anyone. Chelsea will sign Costa and City don't need to sign anyone as they have a great squad as it is.

We've bid £27m on Shaw for a start, that's pretty top dollar for an 18 year old left back. We're clearly willing to spend, just depends how much overall. We're in May, you wouldn't expect to see much signs of big deals getting done, just because the media circus has stated already because of the WC doesn't mean every team's rushing to get deals done, there's months left to do it.
We bid for Shaw and are back in discussions for Shaw, he's evidently doing something. Unlike all them other executives of clubs who've tied up big deals already, right?
Chelsea haven't signed Costa yet though which was what his point was about, we'll sign Shaw, whether it be before of after the World Cup, it really doesn't make a difference.
32 with bonuses should get things done, I think... I hope. Southampton definitely want the price to break the verge of thirty millions.

Yeah, so by the law of averages or whatever law makes this post make sense (probably none), then we should effectively have a chance of finishing above Southampton. They've lost Lambert, they're going to lose Shaw and Lallana so that's 3-2 to us when you factor in Vidic and Ferdinand. When you consider how these losses will affect them compared to us then it's almost like 3-1 to us. When you factor in the fact that Bebe comes home this summer, we've basically already guaranteed that we finish above Southampton. We should hopefully finish above the 3 newly promoted teams so Boom we only need to finish above another 6 teams to guarantee that top 10finish the ninja is so worried about, it's definitely doable.

I'm not a troll. Just because you disagree with me doesn't make me a troll. I'm not flamebating anyone I'm just expressing my concerns. All I can go on is what happened last season. I hope everyone here is right and it's just me being impatient. But we will see. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not convinced I will be. However, I'll apologize if I am. I won't go mocking other members calling them WUM or troll's if I'm right.

Well most of the good players are tied up in the WC, so there isn't likely to be much action until its over. Not to mention the fact that signing players now only to have them injured at the WC would make much sense.
