Think i'd rather he didn't play as he hasn't trained all week.

You know he will be rusty and have a poor game and then suddenly everybody will say "oh he's rubbish waste of money, fat lad etc"
 
Just read on the United website that Jose is going to play him Wednesday night, great to see he'll come straight back in and rightly so. Hopefully he continues his form and we pick up 3 points.

Club needs to get him negotiating his next contract. Lad looks like a proper United player once again. Worrying he's a few months away from being able to negotiate with other clubs..

I'm sure it's in the pipeline, I also don't think Shaw would negotiate with another club anyway, according to reports he was free to leave in summer but chose to stay and fight for a place.

I think there was another report saying he wants to fight to retain his place and then negotiate his new deal, which if true is exactly what we want to hear.

He was still under contract in the summer. Rumours around him being told he could leave if the club received a decent offer. But January he can speak to other clubs and leave on a free next summer and get a fat signing on fee. He’s one of those players where you can’t really tell how committed he is to the club.

Yeah sorry I meant what you said, instead he stayed and fought for his place. I think the penny dropped with him this summer in terms that he could be out of United come next summer, if he didn't start this season well and found himself on the bench or frozen out, his suitors would've been minimal. Plus in terms of stature, as the saying goes 'the only way is down after United', I think he really wants to prove himself now and keep his place, I just hope it continues after a new contract.
 
Impressive so far this season. As expected, our attacks is so so so much better with this guy providing that constant overlapping left width and threats. What's more impressive for me is his timings when to attacks bombing forward and when to stay back hold his run. Much more balance. Did a lot more defensively, as does at the other end.

Bit worried how his soon(?) comeback from his recent injury would be. Fingers crossed.
 
Very impressed with Shaw’s tenacity in the press tonight. He engaged his opponent in possession with great zest all night, forcing dispossessions on many occasions, too.

He’s having a superb start to the season. Well done, lad.
 
Excellent again. His attacking game has improved a lot, or at least he is showing his quality regularly now. Won penalty, created chance for Rashford and Mata.
 
Felt like he's finally arrived today, I thought. Just having him in this form for another decade would be amazing. Really hope he goes onto be the best in the world.

Final ball could still improve but he adds so much to the attacking play. Early forerunner for our player of the year(stupid to even mention it this early to be fair)

Having both he and Dalot as twin wide threats could allow him to pick his moments, pace himself a little more through games.
 
I thought Shaw was brilliant today. Adds threat moving forward and solid in defence. Let's all hope he will keep his current form.
 
Very good game again today, continues his impressive start to the season. Won us a penalty and also could've had an assist or two, doesn't let much past him defensively either I've noticed.
 
I never actually saw him at Southampton so was kind of waiting for his performances.

Now becoming one of my favorite players.

Just, wow. I thought he was done after that injury. I feel a bit embarrassed now for wanting him out pronto last season.
 
Wow see him standing next to Dalot in that interview he is hulking. Would not like to have a clash with him on the pitch. That aside another good performance, some of the passes he picks out were excellent and the speed and power is incredible. Hopefully Dalot stakes his place on the opposite side because it will be great to have good fullbacks.
 
Solid game tonight. I'd like to think that was his average level now.

Young can stay for another 2 years or bring in Mitchell to the first team. We dont need another big investment there.
 
God I love him so much. he is like another outlet down the left when our forwards drift inside. Always further up the pitch for pogba to spray those passes too. Delivery is even getting better as witnessed during the second half. Ashley young shaking in his boots now.
 
Bossed it once again! MOTM for me & I said before if fit he’s one of the best. Very assured comfortable & great going forward just what we need. Great to see he’s come back on high & hasn’t sulked & fought hard to win his place back. Well deserved & very best of luck to him.
 
Nice to see that the concussion hadn't influenced his form. Our second best player today, brilliant.

Said before the season even started that I'd have Luke over Sandro any day of the week. Amazing what a run in the team can do, isn't it? Let's hope Martial is afforded the same opportunity because, like Luke, I believe that's all he needs, and have said as much for the longest.
