The same story is said every summer, not sure I buy it

Willing to give him the benefit of the doubt still, he could kick off, sulk, try & force a move, etc, & what would he be worth? Not a lot just now I'd imagine.

If we're not buying a LB, so Young is his only threat again, then he has a chance this season of a proper run of games finally.

That would be down to Jose and I don't see it, if Young is fit Young will play.

More what I'm saying, all that it takes is Young to pick up an injury & Shaw is in, if not Jose might as well tell him he can leave now.

Btw don't think I want Young to get injured, I don't, but it's highly unlikely he'll go unscathed all season.

Maybe it’s a bad angle etc, but Jesus! I have more defination than that :annoyed:

Meh. He is a big guy. He will never look skinny.

Nothing a couple of weeks in the gym wont fix. It's mostly muscle and not fat.

He looks like another Rooney body wise, just without the amazing career behind it.

Its okay in the off-season, but he has been with similar physique even during the season that worries me.

What the feck....the lad is a waste of time.

He's made millions off 1-2 decent seasons with Southampton, he's stole a living since and doesn't even bother staying in shape. It's a complete joke to be honest.

Yeah and people will still come here with their bullshit about how it's agenda driven against him and he's not fat and post that fecking picture of him in shadows where he looks 'ripped'.

He's a fat feck with shit attitude. Sure does offer 'natural width' though.

When Luke was younger he definitely got put in net by his mates.

You realize it's Mourinho's fault he's looking like this, right?

That a professional football player paid a fortune can't even muster the effort to keep his body as fit as regular able do every day, without compensation, annoys me to no end.

He should be docked wages, fat-tax.

Guy just makes me laugh now, he could not give a shite.

Left out of a World Cup squad, uncertain future at Man United? Knuckle down and get in the best shape possible? Nah, pizza-time baby.

Funny as it sounds, we've had somebody coming up with this idea here before, it was along the lines of 'if mourinho played shaw regularly, he wouldn't be fat'.
Not surprised. But you can't defend a player on holiday looking like James Corden.

It'll be a joke if we hang on to this waster for another season. Send him packing already and buy a proper LB

Its just genetics, look at Luke Shaw's parents and they'll be fat. So how can you expect Luke Shaw to be ripped when he has to work 50% harder than everybody else. Besides, his thicc arse and legs generates a huge amount of power.

You either take Luke Shaw at his worst or you'll never get the Luke Shaw under LVG for 6 games where he was the best left back in the league.

If he played more games, he would have an incentive to keep fit.

Chicken and egg though isn't it? If he turned up to Carrington with his abs cut like Jason Statham's wouldn't Jose take it as a sign of commitment and be more likely to pick him?

I just think it's a waste of time for everyone involved now, he needs to move on. If you think he's going to be our main full back next year under Jose, you are simply delusional. Sell him and get what you can and invest in someone that is going to start over Young.
