That’s nothing he couldn’t solve pretty quickly in pre season.

It's not how professional footballers operate. Having to cut weight at the beginning of every season is not sustainable, this isn't boxing or mma where you have a small window where you perform at your peak. If you need to cut weight regularly then you'll struggle with your weight throughout the whole season since you have to be at peak fitness for several months.

Same necklace as here (picture from a couple of years ago)

We should promise to organise a private concert with Justin Bieber for him. I bet that will give him real incentive to get himself fit again.

This.

Cutting weight whilst simultaneously gaining fitness leaves the body unable to train with the same intensity , thus meaning either the fitness or the weight loss, or both, are compromised.

Its just genetics, look at Luke Shaw's parents and they'll be fat. So how can you expect Luke Shaw to be ripped when he has to work 50% harder than everybody else. Besides, his thicc arse and legs generates a huge amount of power.

You either take Luke Shaw at his worst or you'll never get the Luke Shaw under LVG for 6 games where he was the best left back in the league.

Looking for white text.

What do you expect? You want him to flex his muscles 24/7?

Bad angle, bad paparazzi.
If you are paid 50-100 thousand pounds a week you should look like an athlete. Jose was right about his work ethic. Pogba and Lukaku are players who take care of themselves. Do you think Sir Alex would've been okay with players looking like this even when on holiday? He doesnt need to flex his muscles when its clear his body fat percentage isnt near where an athletes should be.

Anderson looked like this during the season

People want him to be slender like Young, but he is built like Rooney.

Look, just have a look at Shaqiri, Hazard, those players aren't slim either.

Shaqiri is a ripped dwarf from world of warcraft. There is no 'build' that prevents you from being low bodyfat. That stuff was debunked decades ago.

For you who defend shaw with genetics excuse, this is shaw when he had his best performances and got worst injury, from twitter:

Whether he has a six pack or flabby tits it doesn't really matter. He's a shite full back who should be shipped out.

For someone in his situation to come out looking like that is a fecking disgrace. I can't see him repairing that in time for next season and if so, he'll sure as hell get no more sympathy from me.
There should be clauses in the players contracts for these kind of things.

I think it's incredibly silly people are jumping to conclusions about his dedication over 1 pic.

My issues with him have never been about the fitness, it's been about him not getting the tactical part of the game (according to Mourinho).

There's a few more in that article in The Sun, just google Luke Shaw and Ibiza. Given his history with being critiqued over his fitness I'd say that questioning his dedication is fair game at this point.

He is flexing. how about this.

A picture where you can't see his physique...brilliant reference.

Here's another one:

Shaqiri is in fantastic shape, and no amount of mental gymnastics will change that.

I really don't care about his weight until I see it affecting his performances. His weight is always a big deal even though it has nothing to do with his performances. Get a grip, some of you. It's really not that bad.

I've always thought the obsession over him not having 6 packs has been silly. Plus when it comes from us armchair athletes...

I just did and those pictures aren't doing him any favours. He looks chubby.

Being chubby doesn’t automatically make him a bad defender. He’s still one of the fastest players in the squad. He needs a run of games yes, but he can still be a very good defender while carrying extra pound, especially due to his body type. What is people’s sad obsession with weight?
