He's been fit to play for almost two months, if he's not ready now he won't be in two weeks either.

Who knows what the actual situation is with him when mourinho just cant afford to give him some games.

Should loan him as one last roll of the dice before selling him. Thats the only way he will get a consistent run of games.

You just know that if UTD sell him he will make us look even more stupid......

Probably join spurs for about 20million & play 40+ games next year

Season after Poch will play him further up the pitch and he will turn into Gareth Bale mark 2

End up joining Madrid as Ronaldo replacement for about £150m and everybody will talk about him above Lukaku and de bryne of young players Jose couldn’t get the best out of.

We will be consoled by the fact Ashley Young is still going strong at 38 1 good game in 3 but our still our best attacking threat with his back post crosses aimed at Fellaini.

If I had to put my money on your scenario, or the scenario where he goes to a mid table club next, does feck all there aside from spending his time injured or unfit before being released and disappearing out of the game, my money would be on the latter.

Nothing suggests he will ever hit those heights.

Even if he wins Ballon D'Or, as long as we replace him with a top quality LB I don't care. He has been a failure here, from every possible aspect.

Wow. Okay, I'll play along with you. Even if all those things did happen, if he couldn't cut it at United under 2 very different managers, then I couldn't care less what he does once he leaves.

The Times are reporting that we want to sell him in January for £20m.

Who would take him for £20m?

Why not in this overpriced market. If we get anywhere near this amount, it will be a great deal for us. A bit sad it didn’t work out for him but a move away is good for him and for us.

He looked reasonably good before the leg break, shame he can't be whipped into shape and form. If the only black mark against him is that his relations with jose have broken down irretrievably, he wouldn't be the first and we could still get a decent fee. However, he may have a bad rep in the game for slovenly commitment levels and literally growing fat on clubs' time.

I personally think we can easily get £20 million for him in today's market.

That's quite the fantasy, you got there. :D
He had 1 good season with Southampton when he was 18. And 3 bad seasons with us. Yet people ignore that 3 bad seasons and focus only on that 1 good season with Southampton, many many years ago.

Actually, you could be right.
Even a club in the relegation zone should be able to afford £20M.
And Shaw probably could do a decent job for a team in the relegation zone.
The problem for him though, is if he does badly (like Januzaj did last season for Sunderland), he could disappear into obscurity.
Would Lyon not be interested? He could rekindle his partnership with Memphis and the 2 of them may do well. Memphis may even be a positive influence on Shaw, where Memphis loves going to the gym.

Would have thought today would have been the perfect time to give him a 20 minute run out. The changes when Jose brought on Zlatan seemed a little weird. We started to see a bit of the problems from last year with Zlatan on the pitch as well. Dropped deep and there really wasn’t an outlet up top.

Disagree. The difference was Pogba wasn't on the pitch and Lukaku moved wide. We still created a few chances mind.

Your post read as though Zlatan was the issue coming on? I don't think the changes were an issue. Pogba was the main miss but we still could have had 6/7 by the end.
It was a little bit of an issue as there was no one up top. If Jose had left Lukaku up top it wouldn’t have been an issue because there was an outlet for Zlatan to link up with or just stretch our play to allow the players behind to pick passes. Which was a problem last year with Zlatan as no one ran beyond him and we for large parts of it played with no one up top which had a knock on effect in how ineffective we were at times.

Zlatan is likely to play a huge part in our Christmas period while Shaw might make a few bench appearances here or there at best.

The Zlatan sub makes more sense.

Yeah I mean if it was me I would have brought Zlatan on for Mata. Put Zlatan and Lukaku up top, Zlatan dropping deep, Lukaku stretching it then taken Young off and replaced with Shaw.
There might have been other reasons like Martial having a knock or saving him or whatever it’s just that’s how I wood have done it.

Crazy how Young and Zlatan who are both around 10 years older than him can return from long term injuries and slot straight back in the team yet this fat bastard is stealing a living and still struggling to become fit.

Is he still injured or is he just lacking match fitness now? His case is a rather strange one.

He was on the bench last match so clearly not injured. Just not preferred choice right now. Has to take his chances in the European matches coming up.

Jose said that he needs a run of games at first team level but he can't justify giving him those games right now.

Whether he was saying "he's not really earned them" or "I need to play my best players" is anyone's guess.

I think José probably still has faith in him but won't disrupt Young's form by dropping him. Rightly so because Young has been terrific.

Yes, I would assume he'll get some time against Basel and in the Carabao Cup.

Hopefully but given up holding out for him so if he does great if not then so be it now.

I'm so sick of this non transfer saga, very ready for him to leave now.

When G Nev questions your attitude you know something is probably wrong.

Untrue. They also focus on the "great" games he had for us immediately before the leg break. All five of them ;)

He'll need a Moreno style turnaround to salvage his career here. I still hope it happens for him.

Cant do any worse than Blind (and Darmian when he comes across) right?

Unless hes so unfit he cant even move...
