It rather looks like a purple patch than proving anything, likes of Cleverley have had excellent run of form as well. I wish he was given the chance to keep such form over a longer period, it's a shame. But it would be idiotic to just wait until hopefully he can regain such form which is no certainty whilst he is below the standard as of now. If we can get better, we shouldnt hesitate. And by the way I dont think he was one of the best left bacjs at that moment, Alaba, Marcelo, Alba, Filipe Luiz, Rose, Coentrao, Alex Sandro are a few levels above him easily.
