Told mourinho he is not in condition to play
I agree with him.
if he's slightly injured than it's perfectly okay for me from a player to say he's not ready. He's young and he doesn't want to miss many more games because he will show he's a tough guy for Mourinho. He's 21 and it will be bullshit to risk him to play at this stage of his career when he can sit out and come back for the next game
but if he's not mentally ready than it's a bit sad to hear even though players can actually show some guts saying this for me too.. so it's a bit of overreaction from mourinho, not sure about other players he didn't mention
I really hope he comes good but im very skeptical hell ever fully recover and mentally that is a pathetuc thing to do and say to Jose "im not ready" that is seriously huge. maybe you do that sort of thing at Southampton or Sunderland where some players are expected to be dissolusioned but here at United its goes against the core fundamentals of the club.
Sir Bobby probably bust a vein when he heard the news Imagine the friends he lost in Munich who would love to have played just one more game and you have to listen to modern players with this garbage.
Football is a crazy game, I was certain Shaw and Martial would tear it up down the left for us this season, I cant believe neither are regulars.
Jose lost the dressing last year at Chelsea, I don't see how this continuous public criticism of his players is going to help one bit. Sometimes, you've got to wonder what is in his head

Imagine if he went up there Fergie to tell him he's not in the condition to play
Didn't Paul Scholes refuse to play in a LC game because he was sulking?
Yes and Fergie went wild at him for it. Scholes has since said he was lucky not to get kicked out the club.
I really hope this is a kick up the backside from Mourinho and he knows Shaw will react, because otherwise we don't want players who step down the morning of a game because they don't feel like it.
Can't remember ever hearing about it until after Scholes retired.
Barca have two good left backs, Alba and Digne.Football fans are fickle as hell and this thread epitomizes it well. From praising his performances early in the season vs Southampton and Hull to the general consensus now wondering if he will ever recover from his leg break due to poor form. Did it not occur to people his dip in form coincided with the criticism he recieved after the Watford game? He obviously hasnt reacted well to that and has seemed unsure of himself ever since this was highlighted when he let Navas the most old dimebsional player torch him the over week.
The boys in bad form but im stunned by some posts here. Just checked his contract runs out in 2018. Wouldnt surprise me if Us, Arsenal and Barca go for him. All neeed left backs and hes one of the most talented in world football.
Its the same with some on hereAnd they call themselves fans, it's disgusting

Ive never seen a so many turn on a player so fast before
He is also still only 21 years of age
The desired effect José wanted? And they call themselves fans, it's disgusting
I guess the world has forgotten he broke his leg and is just coming back from that injury.
How long is he going to be coming back from it though? When does blaming the injury end and poor form is accepted?
Surely club doctors have assessed if his leg is fine and that the 'niggles' and 'pain' he feels is a mental thing.

why DO YOU KNOW he told him? I guess it's more proffessional to tell your manager you are not ready before the game then screw up on the pitch or get yourself injured because you pretend to be tough enough. if it was because of injury there is no reason to criticise the player he wants to stay fit after horrible 2leg break and one year of football off, he's not Giggs/Scholes at his mid thirties or someone like Rooney/Sweinsteigger who are at the end of their career and can play through their injuries...unprofessional for shaw to tell the manager that he wasn't ready to play the morning of the game. Unless he had the flu or food poisoning, he should at least told him the day before so he could prepped Blind or Darmian to play the LB position. Players at his level can't just wake up and decide they don't want to play today, this isn't an office job.

Yes coming back from a horrific injury is a mental thing and it needs to be managed, better it is not managed in the press and is done internally. What do you mean 'how long' its only been a couple of month since his return to action.
