Yeah, it is RedCafe who is starting all those rumours.
Wasn't my point. Saying "and so it begins" as if to suggest that the Suarez to Spain thing is just starting even though it's been eagerly reported for months on here.

It is being discussed like any other forum. If Suarez's transfer rumour starts, both Liverpool and rival fan forums will discuss for different reasons. It isn't like we discuss only Suarez transfer news here but ignore if it is about one of our players or of other clubs. Also everyone knows Suarez was very close to leaving last summer, so obviously it will be discussed. Add to the fact we obviously don't like that bastard so will be happy to see him feck off.

Apparently the physio who treated Suarez postponed his cancer treatment just to make Suarez available for the game. And then Suarez went to celebrate with him when he scored the goals.

Dirty, whoring, cheating, smiling, racist, cancer giving scum.

Not that I'm bitter either. Or a cnut.

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to drop their plan to sign Liverpool’s Luis Suarez for this summer. (Source: El Confidencial)

I think Suarez will be too expensive for Barca/Madrid to even consider signing him and he will probably only leave Liverpool for them.

Personally would rather he stayed at Liverpool, than Madrid handing them £80-£100 million to spend.
Because you'll still win nothing with just him, where as 80 mil might allow you to balance your team in terms of quality.
It'll be just like Spurs trying to replace Bale. Very unlikely the players brought in can make the same impact Suarez does.

With Suarez in our team we've won one trophy amd finished runners up for two. Not great, but hardly horrendous.

Spurs actually got a very similar number of points without Bale this season.

In a parallel universe somewhere Bale never left and Spurs still missed out on CL football... But by a smaller margin

In all seriousness you guys losing Suarez would be a massive loss whoever you brought in. More so than the Bale example, but it's an obvious go to example.

I don't know about other posters but I find Duncan Castles very reliable. I read somewhere that his release clause is lower for Barca and Madrid compare to other clubs (EPL).

Marca are Madrid's mouthpiece. Half of the stuff they print is shite. I think Mundo are the Barcelona equivalent, but I'm not sure about that one.

El Mundo is a general newspaper with strong ties to Madrid government and extreme right. They usually are against anything catalan related, be it FC Barcelona or catalan politicians, etc. They are more or less the 3rd newspaper in Spain but usually hold fringe and extreme views in certain issues and sometimes publish bogus articles or theories to help any kind of campaign/propaganda the government is interested in promoting. Anything they publish will paint Madrid in a positive and Barcelona in a negative view.

Edit: Mundo Deportivo is the Barcelona sports newspaper you might be referring. Sport too.

What are you on? Without Suarez they will fall back a step, its a massive loss.

A few reasons he is only ever one step away from losing his rag, and when he does it's always entertaining, and damaging for Liverpool, next season will be much tougher for Liverpool with CL so the chances of this happening increase.

Spent well £80-£100 million or so would do wonders for their squad.

Other point is just a general view in that I don't want the best players in the world going to the Spanish league as the time, it is important the PL hangs on to them, and attracts others, Ronaldo, Bale, now maybe Suarez, plus they already have the best in Messi, is sad really.

Honestly, who gives a shit where the best players in the world play if it weakens our rivals? Can't get into my head the football fan who thinks "Sure Liverpool are a lot better but at least the BPL is better than La Liga". Especially if they don't go to games week in week out so they're just watching them all on the television anyway.

Shite. One excellent season in the PL doesn't make you one of the best three players in the world.
