Are you being serious? If so, I'd love to know why you think that, unless you're a WUM...
For me Suarez is involved in the game for 90 minutes, he is always terrorising teams defences and causing them so many problems. Even if he doesn't score he still makes a big contribution to the team, last night against England he was every where on the pitch and he was so intelligent to run for onto that flick from Gerrard taking a chance on him knocking it backwards.

He is only half fit as well 24 days ago he had knee surgery the guy is a fighter and never gives up. I like Ronaldo think he's a fantastic player but i dont like his play style that is why i would take Suarez over him. No i'm not a WUM i support Juventus.

What a thick person this guys is. "Goals answer my critics." No one has ever criticized your football but rather you being a racist, a biter, a diver, and a dirty tackler.

How do goals answer that? God he's thick and extremely unapolegtic considering the shit he's done. The English media didn't criticize you because they hate you, but because of the things you did.

You can get a 5 year old to understand that but not Luis Suarez, apparently.

That's part of the problem with modern footballers. They live in a bubble being told how precious they are and they develop a warped sense of self worth and reality. He thinks he's a victim and can't see that his own actions have contributed to his criticisms.

Liverpool exacerbated the situation with their stupid T-shirt campaign etc.

OK, so you'd take Suarez over Ronaldo, but that doesn't mean you think he's the better player? you simply prefer his style

There is a reason why he is loved so much by Liverpool fans you know. They can connect.

I don't really get the praise for that. I would have made the same run and I'm a park player! A gamble on a long ball is not really an intelligent run, it's just taking a % chance.

well if Cavani gets that he is offside, if nobody touches it he is offside. I just thought it was very clever he took the gamble on it.

11 Ronaldo's are more likely to stay on the pitch and not serve a ban. What are you going to do when 3 of your Suarez' are suspended, play with 9 players?

That's working on the assumption that he knew he was offside.

They don't give a feck because he's destroying their opponents day in day out, just like any other group of fans. Ronaldo dived every other game for us, threw tantrums and what not but no United fan gave a feck because he was putting the ball in the net in all those games and deciding them. Keane well pushed the boundary of professional fouling and took out personal grudges on the field but no United fan gave a feck because he was winning games for us. Cantona was as self absorbed as they come, took matters in his own hands by kicking a spectator resulting in a ban affecting United's season, much like Suarez's actions but again, no United fan gave a feck because he was winning us titles. You can find endless examples for any other club, it's players who went down such paths and how their fans supported them despite seeing their actions. There are many players, and will be many, who will fall into the category of "he's a cnut, but he's out cnut." and Suarez is no different than that.

It's incredibly cringeworthy whenever some fans pretend to be on a morally high ground than others, they do nothing except ending up looking like complete hypocrites.

OK, don't cry. Suarez will give you his tshirt.

fwiw, I never supported Ronaldo's diving and it used to frustrate me.

I gladly take my place on the moral high ground - and all the idiotic criticism that goes with that stance - when it comes to important matters like racism.

I have got your back, Sir. I will be right behind you (no homo).

There's no high or low ground against something completely unacceptable such as racism.

Good one! 9+3=12 but thats what a team full of cheaters do.

Jesus, just watched Ray Wilkins interview about the England's game.
icon_facepalm.gif
He said like lets check Suarez's knee with a couple of hard tackles to see if it was "legit".

Seriously, Ray no matter how much you sugarcoat it, it still just sounds beyond pathetic and bitter. I mean i don't really like this cheating cnut, but lets just keep our dignity intact. Targeting a recently injured player with hard tackles even as Wilkins said "within the rules", is unsportsmanlike at least.

A bit of a shame, cause it was in the very end, and generally it was a decent interview, some trite stuff as always but also some interesting stuff as well. I liked the part about Lampard. England could really use a midfielder with such a great scoring record when chasing games for sure.

That's just the old footballer in him talking. Back then people weren't so soft, and were happy to give out a hard tackle to test the water.

I'm guessing managers and coaches tell players to do this all the time. Cahill against Holland was one example of blatant instructions to try and hurt players.

Think that's fair enough. If a dangerous player is physically vulnerable then it makes sense to give him extra physical attention. That's part of professional sport really. If the player isn't able to handle it then he shouldn't be on the pitch.

"Break a leg" so to speak:lol:

Those who actually do it are extremely cnutish. Cahil did not want to hurt anybody i think, he is just australian Kevin Davies. Somewhere in his mind he has this little delusion that he is a great tackler of ball. And he is overly aggressive. He always played in extremely physical manner. I would not say it's completely okay, but i would not say it's unfair or bad either. While actually targeting a player who just returned from injury is extremely poor fair play standards.

Yes, I generally agree with this. They should be hard tackling players either way (if they believe they can't take it). They shouldn't simply do it because he just had an operation.

When he injured Martins Indi he went in to try and hurt him.

What are Mundo and Marca like in Spain? Equivalent of Mail and Mirror?

Marca are Madrid's mouthpiece. Half of the stuff they print is shite. I think Mundo are the Barcelona equivalent, but I'm not sure about that one.

Good to hear Cavani say Suarez is happy and the like. Last summer he was saying the complete opposite.
