Luis Suarez

Seems to me like he's giving himself a window to leave Liverpool and blame the press for his exit, which most Scousers will probably believe. Fact is, taking his behaviour into consideration he's been let off quite easily - not many players can get away with being a cannibal and a racist. If he wasn't a massive idiot who kept up brining the racism-case up again and again on his own, there'd probably be less talk about that as well by now - but he has to play the victim-card at every given opportunity.

needless to say it'll be terrific if he goes. Will completely take their title aspirations away, although it won't necessarily derail top 4.

The England team was half Liverpool, and without Suarez there wasn't much quality, bar a bit of Sterling running early on

I assumed Madrid would break the bank for him. I'm sure most would be delighted to see the back of him that's for sure.

He'll definitely have a release clause. Chances are it's around £70m the way that figure has been bandied around. Otherwise why would it be less than Bale's fee? Age is the only small reason.

Liverpool just ignored the clause last year though, but no doubt Suarez will look to force this one through. Not many players turn Barcelona or Madrid down

That's a ridiculous argument. The tactics that Brendan uses are completely different to the ones Woy uses and as a result allow us to get more out of our players.

Call me nuts, but even though I really dislike both him and Liverpool(he is easily one of the players I dislike the most), part of me wants him to stay in the Premierleague. For all his bad attributes, he is a top top player, the best in the league and by moving to other league I think premiership would lost a lot. It's just one player I know, but you'll hardly find better players than him, so ignoring my United bias and watching it from Premierleague fan perspective, it would be shame if he goes.
I couldn't care less about Liverpool though, they would be really fecked without him, so that would be nice from that point of view.

If the interest from Spain is genuine and his head has been turned, whilst you couldn't completely rule out Liverpool persuading him to give them one more year, it'll be very difficult for them to do so for me. This would be a different kettle of fish to the Arsenal interest last summer.

They have no real title aspirations for next season as it is. They're not going to cope with the extra games and losing Suarez will condemn them out of the Top 4 straight away.

Yeah, we'll see if Suarez goes old chap.

wouldn't be too sure about the top 4 bit. Noone thought they'd get close to the league this year, so seems foolish to write top 4 off.

We also have no idea how we'll go. Just a vague thinking that no one can do as badly as Moyes.

A fee really shouldn't determine what number best you are in the world, the David Luiz deal puts that theory to shame if it did. Also Gareth lived up to a lot of the hype last season, I'm sure Luis would as well but I still think both are behind Ronaldo/Messi even still.
Well it's debatable really. Messi and Ronaldo are clear #1 and #2, but it was really top 3 in the world, and I think Bale was certainly hyped up to be right up there. One great season at top league is certainly gonna bring up the hype, even being the third best in the world.

The price tag is reflecting the hype and possibly ability as well, because with 100m you can buy practically everybody bar Messi and Ronaldo. Luiz is 40% less in terms of price tag...

This year was surely the extra year he was giving it.

Yep, though they can at least give him Champions League football next season which they didn't have this. But if Madrid or Barcelona come in for him, I'm sure he'll want to go. I hope so anyway as that'll be a massive blow for them.

RAWK have gone full North Korea on the Suarez topic. Not allowed to talk about his potential transfer anywhere.

He's off. You could smell his tactics right from the whole "England and the press treated me badly" bullshit after the England game.

Join Madrid. There's a slot open on the Three Musketeers. Pepe, Ramos, Suarez.

They put the "nuts" in "cnuts".

That's how they operate. Suarez will have scored his first goal for Real before they allow people to talk about it.

Don't know if it will be Real but he is definitely gone for either Barca/Real. Their reaction will be priceless.

He's going this summer, it would be better for them if they just accepted it. He's clearly desperate to go, every time he leaves England the same stories come about.

Remember when he was pictured crying after Liverpool told him he wasn't going to be allowed to leave? Priceless.

It's an incredible forum. One day someone will write a psychology paper on it. Pure hive mind.

And if he doesn't...Caf meltdown?

This time it's different, feels much more like Ronaldos 09. One great last season before he is off for good. Also this time we are talking about Real/Barca, who are both much more shrewd in the transfer market compared to Arsenal. I honestly don't think there'd be a meltdown on here if he just stayed. If he stayed and they sign Sanchez, you can bet on a Caf meltdown.

Yep, then he played a blinder all season. Not priceless but certainly added around £20-30m to his value.

Have to attract the big clubs. Not scoring all season isn't going to get him out of Liverpool now, is it?

I just find it funny how you idolise him when he clearly doesn't give a shit about you or your club.

Thanks for rationalising his season. Makes sense.

He doesn't "give a shit" about me? That is low, even for a United fan. I'm certain he loves me, adores me, would walk on hot coals for me. We have a connection. You know, the way Rooney loves United fans...

You = Liverpool fans. Try and keep up.

To suggest Suarez doesn't give a shit having watched him play out of his skin and descend into tears at Palace* is a bit daft. Whether he stays or leaves he cared last season.

*cue response telling me he was acting against Palace and that he didn't care one bit about his team.

He does have a very good relationship with the supporters, that's fairly blatant.

I also find it ridiculous that another football supporter would criticise another set of supporters for idolising a player.

I said he doesn't give a shit about your fans or your club. He doesn't. If he did, he wouldn't have tried to force a move to Arsenal last season. And he wouldn't be agitating once again.

Luis is out for Luis. You will realise it. Eventually.

Your supporters love him, sure. He loves you so much he tried to join one of your rivals and cried when he wasn't allowed to.

Rumours circulating on twitter Real Madrid have agreed a deal to sign Falcao after the world cup, nothing concrete though. Would put the Suarez gossip to bed if true though.

Or will he definitley be joining Barcelona now? :D

You can want to leave a club to further your career whilst still caring about the club you are trying to leave.

Before last season? Absolutely. They had Champions League football to offer while we didn't.
Fair enough. I would have said contesting the 4th place trophy was slightly more than a sideways step.

So you believe Arsenal is a step up from Liverpool? Interesting.
No they're not based on the most recent campaign but prior to that they'd finished higher for several years in a row.

You're wilfully missing the nuance of last summer and his displays last season. There's no doubt Suarez appreciates Liverpool. If he goes to another club it doesn't stop that fact. By your logic I presume Ronaldo didn't and doesn't care about United...or is that somehow different?

Ronaldo was with us for what, 5 or 6 years? Suarez has been at Liverpool for 3. And wanted out after 2. So yes, it's different.

For the record, I don't believe Ronaldo cares overly for our club, no. Otherwise, he wouldn't have spent the prime of his career elsewhere.
