I don't think it's true at all. The only way I can see Nani leaving to Juventus is if Conte changes his formation to a 4-3-3. Currently, it's a 3-5-2 with two wing backs who press, attack, and defend throughout the 90+ mins. Nani isn't a wing back, doesn't have the energy or work ethic to do the required job, and it would be a waste. I think it's a non-story, he's always linked with Juventus.

I'm just hoping he caught moyes eye in the friendly he played and hopefully was looking as sharp in the closed door games. I think there was an element of moyes recognising us needing more pentration when we brought young in against Chelsea and that's what nani brings. If we're not signing a creative player in the middle then I think loosing nani would be an even bigger mistake.

Nail on the head, Ash.

I think if we willingly got rid, i.e. without having a replacement in mind or without there actually being contract issues, I'd be convinced that there are certain members of the club who are mentally inept when it comes to football.

Marotta : "Nani has extended his contract with United and we (Juve) have no deal with him."

Yessss

Marotta (Juventus CEO): “Nani to Juventus? Rubbish. Nani extended his contract with #MUFC & we never negotiated for him."

The Juve CEO confirms it before our club does

How come Juve have released this news before us?

If it's true, then that's the business. At the beginning of the summer, even if we spent well, I was still dreading we would lose Nani and Rooney. We've seemingly kept them both. Right good!

Best thing that's happened all summer. Brilliant.

Make that spot your own nani.

Dont you remember? There was a poster on here claiming for years that we were clearly selling Nani to Italy. So obviously Italy would know first.

Great news!

Great news, went totally under the radar. Wonder when he actually signed, and it shows how much these journos actually know.

Great news. Get Fellaini now, and the Summer won't be as shit as it couldve been.

Any idea of when he'll be back?

Great news.

Just hope it isn't Juve bluffing just so Nani can come out and say "I haven't signed a new contract". That would be a fecking nutshot.

feck it, let's just put Moratto in charge of all our transfers. He's ten times the man Woodward is!

I second this. He also knows better about transfers (Vidal, Pogba, Pirlo, Bonucci, Llorente and Barzagli cost less than 20m combined).

Really hope this is true, rooney recommitting and nani staying would be a big boost for us.
