I can't believe some people are so dumb they think Sir Alex don't know what he's doing.....it's mindboggling. They said the same shit about Vidic and Evra and they never learn.

There is only a small minority with a negative view on this transfer.

Ya, that Fergie fella doesnt have a clue at all.

Some bellends on here at times.

Lucas is one of the most exciting talents in world football. He will be ideal for the Premier League and has that grit and determination that sets him apart from the likes of Neymar.

Cold night at Stoke? Yes he bloody can.

Are you their lawyer?..regardless it's stupid to question Sir Alex when it comes to this sort of thing. He's not going to buy him and then think, "Shit! I forgot about Nani..."

Sir Alex has always been clear about how he operates

Ribeiro, agent Lucas Moura, "The Manchester United is a lie"

Rumors that place again and again Moura Lucas, Manchester United will not have anything like Wagner Ribeiro, the Brazilian's agent. The representative of Sao Paulo was once again angry at having to deny false rumors in the British press and in statements collected Calciomercato charged to forcefully against the instigators of such information, accusing them of lying.

"I often talk with Lucas to keep up. At the end of the Olympics will go to Sweden with the Brazilian national team and then return to Sao Paulo. There has been no visit of Manchester United. Are all lies," snapped the representative, considered disrespectful to the harassment is being subjected to the young footballer. Thus, it appears that all the talk about the proximity of the United Moura transfer are false.

In fact, every indication that the player will remain pending in Brazil, Real Madrid, after his family even visit the Santiago Bernabeu last season. The preference of Luke and his agent is the Santiago Bernabeu, and a Hopefully it will most likely end up playing in the Brazilian Chamartín in one or two years. In any case, is not the first time that Ribeiro has come out to deny false information, as happened just days ago .

I don't get it. I was agreeing with you - to an extent. Please do elaborate? :wenger:

Ohh. Well then you say you agree rather then saying it's only a small percentage which 'sounds' like you're defending them...;)

Erm....no. My reply was actually a snipe at the 'small minority' that are acting like this would be a bad transfer - for reasons unknown to me.

United will be getting a very raw gem who if he can be polished will be a fantastic player for you guys.

Good buy, I am very critical of Lucas but also aware that he does have some very good qualities.

True but I never said they should stop. They're more then entitled to to defend themselves but the truth is, Sir Alex always plans for the future. We don't even know if we will buy Lucas, let alone that be an excuse not to deal with the midfield. As it is, most people don't even consider the youth coming through as a viable option like Sir Alex might.

I'm glad you allow all side because I gave mine like they gave theirs. I was rude but mentioned no names. It's very difficult to say that paying 30million is wrong for Lucas, because we simply don't know 5/10 years down the line with regards the player in question and current squad members.

Is that even a credible website? Or are they re-hashing quotes from twitter which seemingly can't be verified currently?

Agreed, problem is the reaction of certain fans when they disagree with a decision taken by the club. For example when the club sold hughes, ince and kanchelskis some fans wanted fergie to be sacked.
So there s nothing wrong with showing disapproval, what's wrong is how certain people go far in doing so.

Rumours that Manchester United are edging closer to completing a deal for Brazilian midfielder Lucas Moura are gaining momentum, with the latest being a report by ESPN that quotes sources as saying Sir Alex Ferguson was keen to sign the player and was close to realising the deal.

"Sir Alex is keen to push through the signing of the young winger and United will have to pay £30 million to get him," the unidentified source is quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, adding further weight to news the transfer has been completed is a report by Daily Mail which suggests Moura is, in fact, set for physical check-up at Old Trafford, ahead of the move. The report states Moura travelled to Manchester from Newcastle, after Brazil beat Honduras 3-2 in the quarter final of the men's football event at the London 2012 Olympics.

São Paulo president Jesus Lopes has denies any ongoing
negotiation with Man Utd for Lucas Moura, but confirmed they are
open to an offer.

Summing up the CAF's thoughts of this thread.

With a Walcott like run
costing 30 million
It's Lu'Moura
He's another winger
Not a mid-fielder
It's Lu'Moura
