Watched the epilogue

the polar bears stuff was not really needed. Disappointed none if it was on island. Not sure what I think really.
 
tbh it was exactly what I expected it to be. You can't really start telling a whole new story in 15 minutes. Nice to see some more Lost, whatever it was.

I dont think anyone was expecting a whole new story but (atleast I) was expecting it to follow on from Jack dieing so we find out what happens with Des and Hurley states his rules etc.

Like the whole thing with
Walt
could so easily have just been spoken upon in a scene where Hurley is basicly saying right this is whats going to happen now and I bet you if it did happen like that it would have been answerd so much more neatly without bringing in more questions

Instead we are just given answers that we all pretty much knew already and in quite a boring way
 
A short (12 minutes?) epilogue to the series giving a small amount of extra info about what happened shortly after the end of the series. Follow Makki's link at the top of this page to watch it, nothing special but a nice little addition to the mythology.

That's pretty pricey and I doubt we'd get anything the US don't, it doesn't work like that lol. We're always the ones to miss out. Region free plz.
 
I personaly think it will be £200, I doubt theyd want to risk another fan backlash after the abuse we gave the original box's page.

£175 would be perfect but I cant see it being that low as its only £25 more than the "Standard" set
 
Anyone been watching the auction this weekend? fecking mad prices, most expensive so far is $25k for the wheel and when you compare that to Hurleys Camaro going for $20k....

smallest price I saw was Mr Paik's suit for $450 everything goes for $800 and up

Hatch went for $16k, Pilot script signed by JJ and Damon $15k, clothes vary from cast member to cast member but they can reach the $5k stage easily
 
how much is the sub going for ? :lol:

cant the fecking twats make another lost series...before jacobs time ? id watch it even if it was shit.
 
i still cant understand why the smokey was dragging people into the temple earlier on when he couldn't actually enter the pyramid structure inside it.

I really hope they dont as C&L won't be a part of it.

If they do make a spin off it should be of purgatory Sawyer and Miles as cops, would be a great cop show

£143!! Absoloute bargain, just a shame we dont get exactly what the US gets but at that price you really cant complain
 
just came here to post that, pre ordered this morning, and the dvd version is £113, cant believe its cheaper than the barebones set
 
I've orderd the US set now, my BD player can be changed to region A if it does turn out to be region locked but there are a few trusted websites who claim it is region free anyway.

Only cost me £144 - £1 more than our set. Should be here mid September. :)

US set is out now (and also a million times better than both the UK ones)
UK Standard - September 13th
UK Premium - October 11th

If you have a region free BD player I suggest you get the US one.
 
I have no interest in the box set because I already own Seasons 1 - 5. Just waiting for 6 to complete my collection, I don't need extras.

im out tuesday to watch the england game so wont be able to watch till weds

do you think Standard would definitely come by Wednesday? what about Expedited, do you think that would come monday? cos if that comes tuesday i might as well stick to standard and get it wednesday
 
There is no way of explaining a show that began with a very simple but brilliant idea with the first series(season 1 being one of the best seasons of any TV show anywhere) then got steadily ruined by a bunch of writers who had too many ideas but with no concept of how to finish them.

And i'm a fan of the show who watched every episode of the show including the final one and ended with a profound sense of disappointment at just how much they managed to make a very good central plot so incoherent even with the ending.

We don't really need extra footage to explain how they managed to cockup a good idea.

Bit late to this thread, but just finished watching Lost. Did they ever explain how did Desmond get a false vision of Claire and her Son leaving in a helicopter in that S3 last episode(best episode of the whole LOST)
 
Possibly that he made it up, because he knew Charlie was going to die regardless. Or a plot hole.
 
He either lied and killed Charlie, or it is something that happened after the show ended (she was still on the island), or it was a plot hole.

My favourite show of all time, at the time. But it was rubbish.

If he knew all along that Charlie was going to die, then he wouldn't have offered him to swap when they were both on the boat, going to turn the switch off.

Quite rubbish to know that Charlie more or less got killed for no reason!

She wasn't on the island, it was clearly shown in the finale that she left the island on plane.
 
1st season was amazing went horribly downhill after that.

I would not even have it in my top 10 TV shows
 
Such a shame. Could have been something really special if the writers had a clear game plan right from the beginning.
 
tbh, they did......ABC just wanted to milk more out of it than the planned 4 seasons, so they had to create like 20 episodes and extra stuff that was unplanned, most of that coming in the godawful season 2 and early parts of 3. small things are small things, which are kind of acceptable, but most of the big flaws come from season 2.

4 & 5 > 1. Come on now. Though they are the 3 good seasons, with the other 3 mostly being the bad ones.
 
My favourite show of all time too. I know there are better shows but this one just has something special for me.
