:(

The US set is pretty sweet, I'll more than likely order that one rather than the piece of crap the UK are getting.

Man, I love Lost. More than 80% of my family.

Unless you have a region free BD player youll have to join the rest of us in praying that the US set is region free

I thought I heard a while ago it was going to be region free? Is that not confirmed then?

Back in the day i used to order dvd's from usa and they all used to work despite all the region bollocks. I'll be getting the yank version of lost :D

It's rumoured but not confirmed.

You sure you didnt have a region free DVD player without knowing it?

I hate those stupid big lumpy boxes that don't fit in with the rest of your collection.(should be noted I also throw away slipcases and never buy steelbooks).

But that price difference is daylight robbery.

I think im going to be ok, I just realised I have a Blu Ray drive in my PC and whilst most are apparantly region free if it's not theres loads of software out there that can bypass it

:D Happy days!

Yeah but Amazon customer services is useless, I don't think it will be region locked as the only one that was region locked was the one that was released before blu-ray became a big deal. The other 4 seasons are region free(and they are using same discs from what i've heard). That company doesn't seem to lock many, if any of their blu's anymore either.

Right, its down to £199.99 on Amazon now but mega bargain at Play at £149.99

Lost: The Complete Collection - Season 1 - 6 Box Set (Blu-ray) - Blu-ray at Play.com (UK)

Our set has been confirmed to come with no extras, however we will be getting the US set in October apparantly....I dont know whether to pre order it at Play or wait for the much better set...only problem is October is a very long wait and it will probably be at the £200 mark...hmmm

£150 when it has no extras? Why don't you just download it for free and wait for the box-set which actually has good things on it.

if the US set is region free i advise you get that as our version will have a few cut scenes but it will most likely be region A so roll on October :D

Cant wait, really cant

No, I am waiting till either theres a high def torrent or when I get the set in October, anyone who has seen it PLEASE USE SPOILERS WHEN DISCUSSING IT and make it clear you are talking about the epilogue

Epilogue talk:
Not what I was expecting, but quite cool. Walt is taking over Jacob then, looking after the island - lol @ those two workers.

Watched the epilogue the other day, a couple of nice little scenes but overall a bit meh. Felt very rushed too.

Does seem like a clusterf*ck of little answers to the questions that weren't that important. The drop and who was doing it was the only thing that was that interesting, apart from my own wondering over what the Hurley bird was.

One thing that I've always wondered was what DHARMA stood for. It was confirmed to be an acronym way back in season 2 or something.. Was that ever answered?

Yes. It stands for Department of Heuristics And Research on Material Applications

Tbh even I am surprised that I remember that!

Well....

That was a bit disapointing :( the whole Walt thing didnt really answer anything...infact it just gave us more questions if anything! Polar Bears did not need explaining at all, I mean if you didnt know that they were there for experiments etc then you are not a smart cookie. ...infact thinking about it ALL the answers they gave us were ones that we pretty much knew anyway

It ended just when it was getting good aswell, I was surprised we didnt see any on island stuff. To me the epilogue should have been about what happend as soon as Jack died, i.e us finding out what happend to Des and then they could go and do the off island stuff and expand it by 5 minutes if they really have to.

I dunno, it just felt like they ended it just when it was going to get good.

No..
Hurley is new Jacob. Walt is going to either take Richard's job or talk to the ghosts to get them to let go or whatever needs to be done to get them to Purg

That's a good summary.

I also found it very self referential, I know the series was capable of that as well, but it was cringeworthy on the epilogue.

ABC haven't finish milking this cash cow yet though, I wouldn't be surprise if they try to turn it into the next Star Terk, "Lost The Next Generation" etc. I hope they don't, I would still watch it mind being the sad bastard that I am. The only thing I would like to see if a book done by Damon and Carlton detailing the history of the Island.

On a brighter note, the two best actors in Lost are teaming up again.

Good stuff on the Emerson/O'Quinn show.

In regards to the book you would like to be made there is a Lost Encyclopedia being released soon written by Cuse & Lindelof

Yeah I heard that, I was bit worried by the description on amazon though

The Lost Encyclopedia, created in conjunction with the creators and producers of the show, is the only official and comprehensive guide to the people, places, and mysteries of Lost. Featuring more than 400 pages and over 1500 images, the LOST Encyclopedia will be a comprehensive guide to the characters, items, locations, plotlines, relationships, and mythologies from all six seasons of the landmark series aired on ABC-TV and produced by ABC Studios. Created in full collaboration with ABC Entertainment and ABC Studios, this will be the first and only fully licensed and comprehensive reference to all things LOST, and it includes a foreword by executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.
Sounds like it could be a picture/recap book, hopefully that's not the case.

Theres a few pictures of it over on Lostpedia, it very much does seem like it just contains what weve seen on screen, theres a two page spread explaining Backgammon though...
