Television Lost: The Final Season

They can't change the ending for the disappointed people on an epilogue can they? I remember a good few people moaning about the food drop in particular as one of their gripes over the series and now it's being answered. Why bring up the ending again?

Don't see the point of answering those questions. They were obviously not important enough or in anyway related to the story to begin with. This seems like something of an afterthought where they'll all sit together and try to make up answers which are bound to disappoint.

This isnt something that was done a few days ago, they had always planned on doing this and probably would have included it in "The End" if they had enough time - which they didnt.

This is another thing I find so annoying though - people complained about the lack of answer in regard to the food drop, its now being answerd but...oh you dont want it answerd now?:wenger::rolleyes:

And was the reason for the fertility issues on the island explained? Did the nuke cause it to happen?

The answers are obviously not good enough/relevant enough to have been included in the finale, they could have easily fitted them in anywhere throughout the course of the season if they really wanted to. Those two things were probably just put into the show with no real answers thought of at the time.

Something I find annoying is people who generalise. I was satisfied with the finale and feel them answering these random questions seems like a pointless attempt to appease few fans who will never be satisfied by the answer.

Well considering these are going to be answerd after the events of the finale I think it would be pretty hard airing it anytime throughout the season without giving most of the ending away...

Oh ok, so basicly the consensus is: Lets complain when we dont get given answers and lets also complain when we do!

You mean to say these can only be answered when Hurley and Ben are running the island? They could have absolutely put them in anytime before if they really wanted to.

I said I was happy with it all. No complaints over the lack of answers. But yes that is exactly what will happen to the lot who want answers so badly.

To be fair these are part of an epilogue which would've been filmed alongside (or shortly after) the finale. They always, at the start of series 6 at least, intended it to be part of an epilogue which would make up part of the DVD. It may be an attempt to answer a few extra remaining questions, but it's not like this is a reaction to the reception the finale received.

Cuse on the Epilogue:

“In terms of specifics, we feel like we answered what we were going to answer in the show. There’s a twelve minute segment on the DVDs that are coming out in August that have a few answers that were not in the show, and I think fans will really enjoy that. It’s the final little quota to the experience of Lost. Several of the major stars in the show will be featured. That’s all I really want to say. It’s fun and we feel like people are going to enjoy seeing a final little chapter of the series.”

It's an extra in the Complete Collection on DVD/Blu Ray.

Not sure if it will be in the seperate Season 6 box or if it's just exclusive to the CC

That would be monumentally unfair to those of us who already have the individual series.

It's why I restrained myself from buying the individual series so I get the mammoth pack at the end of it all

Has been hard but it's gonna be so worth it come August :D

But i'd be surprised if its not in the individual set though.

Same! Although i have all 6 seasons stored in my hard drive :D

Hmm something isnt quite right with the UK Release Dates, there is still no date for the UK version of the CC in Blu Ray but Amazon say the DVD version will be out September 6th but then if you go to the 6th season on its own both the Blu Ray and DVD versions are due out September 20th...

Doesnt really make much sense, I just hope we dont have to wait too long for the Blu Ray version of the CC....September 20th would be hell!

Why did they have to region lock Season 3 and 4 :(

feck off, looks like us Brits are going to get screwed again Lost: The Complete Collection [Blu-ray]: Amazon.co.uk: Naveen Andrews, Matthew Fox, Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway, Daniel Dae Kim, Terry O'Quinn, Yunjin Kim: DVD

We have a different (more ordinary) box then the Yanks are getting which pretty much means we wont be getting any of the cool shit they are getting  :(

Still no release date for the BD set yet either

That's shite, but the content is the same right?

Which is why I think it could be a cock up by Amazon as they should be listing it as a pre order.

Edit: Wait, I just looked at it again, theyve changed it, this is what it did say like 2 minutes ago:
