Television Lost: The Final Season

Also, Flashes before your eyes was S3, which was also a quality ep. The Constant was S4 too...I prefer season 4 to 5 personally...The Dharma thing was pointless, what actually happened?

Now now Mockney, the whole Dharma thing had a lot to do with how Lost ended, in lots of mysterious and I'm sure interesting ways.

You're just not seeing it, man!

Oh noes, there were things in Lost that didn't have much to do with the ending

Who cares? It was entertaining. What better way to find out what the Incident was and about Dharma then living it through the characters? You may not have liked it but others did.

I didn't mean Dharma in all...which was equally pointless, but still a relevant sub plot...I mean in Season 5 we learned nothing about Dharma...we learned more in the previous 2 seasons than we did in that whole season...it was a pointless diversion.

The whole Desmond/Time Travel thing was pointless too really...he had premonitions of the future...but that came to nothing really. It was only there to kill Charlie...erm...yeah.

I wonder if he still had that ability when widmore brought him back to the island ? surely he would have foreseen widmore kidnapping him

Oh waaa waaa waaaa

You were entertained were you not? There is no pleasing people these days.

Oh and we actualy did learn abit about Dharma in season 5 you nonce and the Desmond flashes were not meant to be integrall to the overall plot, it was just one of the side effects to the hatch imploding.

Oh oh, the thought police is here. Then again, it's not like we didn't know from before that The Potato is easily entertained.

Still stuck to that chair?

 If you dont like it so much, why bother posting in the thread? Or would you like to become Spoony 2.0?

In fairness anyone who stuck around till the finale was entertained because they watched it for 6 years!

You can't say anything negative in this thread. . .the kids start crying.

Because I liked it, at some point. Then it was alright, and I kept watching. Then the finale came, and now the show is over. And it was a terrible finale.

Am I missing something? Isn't this the Lost thread? For discussions re: Lost?

So to answer my question: Spoony 2.0.

Look, I dont have a problem with your opinions, everyone is entitled them, its just the way you two voice your opinions that gets at me and others. You dont like it, thats fine, but why keep on and on with childish comments and the like.

It's not big and it's not funny, you want discussions, we can have them...like the big wall of text discussions we had when the finale had just finished airing, you just have to be grown up about it.

This entire post makes no sense. Is that your usual tactic, perhaps? Just ignore an entire thread full of posts by someone, and build up a straw-man that even you can easily dismantle?

So what were everybody's favourite scenes or individual performances then? I couldn't pick just one, so I've gone for my favourite from each season, which was surprisingly hard;

Season 1: "Don't tell me what I can't do"

Season 2: "It's never been easy"

Season 3: "We have to go back"

Season 4: "She means nothing to me"

Season 5: "Don't you leave me"

Season 6: "The end"

EDIT: I think this shows that even if the show got more disjointed and convoluted as a whole, it still had moments of absolute brilliance that made it worth sticking with right to the end. I had to leave out some great scenes like Locke pounding on the hatch door, Charlie's death, Desmond's call to Penny, Jacob's first ever appearance, Sawyer crying to Kate about Juliet etc.

 this thread is funny. I loved LOST the first 2 series but then it became apparent they were making it up as they went along so i 'lost' interest. I may buy the box set one day...

I dont think Sun and Jin would have gone. They'd have stayed in purgatory until she had her baby, so that Jin would have been there at the birth, which he wasn't in life.

The last time we saw Claire and Locke together was when he told her she wouldn't want to be on the sb. So what happened after for her to say he'd try to kill her?

What a ridiculous post....

I watched it all the way through, every episode, I deserve to air my grievances with it as much as you deserve to slobberingly praise it's wonderfulness....As much as anyone 'deserves' to say anything about it...get a grip. Is it really impacting on you that much that not everyone loved the finale and it's implications?

And do you actually know what a nonce is you spotty little scene freak?

Christ you dont like being called a nonce do you. I am 18 you are what...in your mid 20's? Act your age mate.

I'd love to see what your skin was like as a teen by the way.

Fine actually...I never had acne.

No I don't like being called a nonce by someone who doesn't know what it means and is using it because it's a cool sounding word they once heard in a gangster film...but I couldn't really care less what people call me on the internet...unless they call me a Pedophile (yes, that's what it means) in a non jokey way because someone has a different opinion on a TV show than them...that's incredibly silly.

I am acting my mid-20s by the way, I'm not 45...you're acting about 12 though, maybe you should take your own advice.

"Mummy the nasty man says Lost had lots of errors in it...it's not fair, make him go away, I want it to be amazing and everyone to love it waaaaaa waaaaa"

Rolleyes smiley......and relax

Dont patronise me you nonce.

Quite.

But anyway I have never said that Lost was flawless, that is something that everyone likes to pretend I have said, you said two things which were incorrect, I corrected you.

If you really think your acting your age then feck me I feel sorry for you. I have seen nothing but childish and patronising remarks coming from you...

FP, can you go, I don't know, three days without embarrassing yourself? Or is it some sort of mental deficiency that causes you to repeatedly act like a tit?

Great, someone else who has had a known agenda against me on this forum has come into play, just need niMic to come back and we can have a tea party

Well I would patronise someone who called someone else a nonce in the context you did....it's either childish, or the act of someone trying to pass off overheard words as cool ones they understand...both of which deserve patronisation.

Why start the post with Waaa Waaas and rolley eyes then? and the "there's no pleasing some people" remarks...the finale didn't please A LOT of people, hence the quite large split camp it's created,

...but you're patronising people by insinuating that those who aren't happy are inferior in either their Lost understanding, Lost fandom, or are in someway pathetic...you've then continued to patronise me in the above post about acting my age...which I'm not sure I particularly follow ...insulting people has an age limit does it?

Leading me to conclude that you don't understand the meaning of the word patronising as well as the word nonce.

well done.

Because you were moaning....for the 6 millionth time in this thread. And we werent even talking about the finale, you were on about season 5 being a waste of time aswell as the Desmond future seeing which was simply not the case.

 when the feck have I said any of those things Mockney. No need to make stuff up now is there.

Insulting people does not have an age limit but surely someone in their mid 20's can see I was reffering to how childish your insult was.

And now its time for bed.
