Television Lost: The Final Season

Who is cooler than Desmond? Seriously

We all love him in a non-gay manner

Theory

what do you reckon to this? Desmond gets all the losties to "remember" in their flash sideways, and their collective memories somehow tranform into their characters on the Island. John Locke somehow casts MIB out of his body and becomes the pilot of the plane (he does after all know how to fly in his flash sideways). The ending is with Jack & possibly Sawyer left on the island as the 2 opposites. Sawyer will then also have made his sacrifice

I think I preferred the Star Wars campfire glowing one TBH.

That could work, how about claire as Jack's opposite though? Keeps the sibling thing going and she has enough beef with jack abandoning her to hold a grudge.

Or of course they could have Ben throw himself into the light, gollum stylee and become the new black smoke. Although I kind of fancy him as the new Richard if I'm honest.

I was thinking along the same lines but at the end we have Locke and Jack as the two left on the island, so its opposite of how it was in the early seasons

Further to this, why have we never been told MiB's name? It's obviously someone we already know.

That has never been confirmed at all. Just peoples guess based on a biblical tale.

Actually it was confirmed by the writers I believe.. though to be fair it was not ever on an episode but one of their spin-off videos or some shit. Though I thought somebody mentioned it here? If not sorry Crustanoid for being a prick.

He doesnt have a name - the mother only had one name in mind - Jacob. You should know this.

The writers would only reffer to him as Esau due to it being what some fans call him, like the whole MIB name - that was a fan made name.

Good episode, still finding it hard to accept that a magic light in the middle of the island, which can't be seen, unless you are the protector of the island, or at least with the protector, is what, in many ways the show is about. And that was just one of the problems with "across the sea", but they have been covered before. I just say that I find it amazing that Darlton are claiming that the reveal of Adam and Eve is proof they had it all planed out since season 1, at least if it was Rose and Bernard then we would have know they had some idea where the show was going since season 3.

Getting back to the latest episode

Was anyone else willing someone to ask Jacob what about the other people on 815 who were happy with their lives or at least would have been happier if the plane didn't crash, Michael, Walt etc.

Anyway I'm not feeling as negative for the finale as this post suggest, this episode has given a lot of hope back that I can look past some of the problems I'm bound to have and be happy with the ending.

This video is quite good, really am going to miss it, it will be a long time before there's anything like it, hopefully next time the creators will go in with more of a plan though. ;)

Ah feck I'm not even sure anymore. I read on some blog/forum recently that the writers referred to him as Esau in some type of spin-off, but I can't remember what the fecking source was.

That video is class. I'm going to miss it so much, it does feel like the end of more than just a show.

Epic video, maybe a little cheesy lyrics but who cares.

We have to go back!!!

- Loved the way they edited the LOST music
- Great last line to end it.

That was pretty awesome. Brought back some memories from the earlier seasons - can't believe how indifferent I feel towards the finale when I'm now remembering how excited I was about the show when I watched season 1-4 over the course of a couple weeks/a month.

Right i'm avoiding reading anything in this thread, but i've just read that the finale is being shown around the world at the same time. Looks like i'm getting up at 5am Monday then!

Heard on the radio this morning that the final episode is on PPV in the States, that's such a con!!

I heard Henry Ian Cusick talking about the show on the radio earlier. It's been more widely reported here than I expected. Even my mum asked about it this morning. She asked me to get her up to speed as the last time she saw it was "when they climbed down that hole".
