Television Lost: The Final Season

Couldn't the smokey have left the island by turning the wheel ?

He obviously can't. Must be one of the 'rules'. He showed up as Christian when Locke turned the wheel, so I guess there must be something forbidding him from turning it or it doesn't work for him anymore.

They really got to unload a lot more info on us in the next few episodes and give the plot a chance to progress and wind up. Not much time left. Good episode all around though.

Good episode, just watched the
Alpert-centric
one again though which is awesome in comparsion

Just rambling here but I'm curious about the whole Sun/Jin thing and their being a candidate. I've read about genies elsewhere and wonder if Jin is Djinn (genie) meaning the baddie and Sun obviously the goodie. MIB & Jacob may be brothers so the family connection is similar with Sun & Jin. Jin has shown us his bad side in the past so could he become evil??

I just don't want to believe the obvious that Jack will replace Jacob.

The Flying Potato and VidaRed should go and create their own LOST thread. And they can take Spoony with them.

You know, that's a really good theory, Grinner!

I'd like to think I don't act like I own the thread though :p

Eh, I don't know. That sounds like a very big reach. I can't remember ever hearing that they are brothers either. It's not impossible, but there's not really much to suggest it. And the family connection wouldn't be very similar either, since they're not relatives, they're married.

It's sort of like suggesting Jack is a jackass because of his name, and Sawyer is a bad guy since it sounds like Slayer :p

Is this worth starting from the beginning or is it just going to bore the shit out of me with endless pointless twists and turns?

It does feel like they're dragging their feet at the moment.

Are Rose and Bernard still living in the jungle when a big war is about to kick off?

They're dead arent they? Or very old... They went back to 1977 lived in a hippy shack? Or they flashed forwards when Juliet blew up the hatch....I guess their fate would be the same as which ever other people were o the island but didn't flash forward (ie Dharma bods, others)

Just wondering why Richard hasn't said anything about the people he saw dying (he mentioned this to Sun in S5)

Even though this is the last season, I can't help but feel its not really accelerated out of the blocks. Richards episode was by far the high point but everything else as Gambit has implied has been a bit dragging with an achor at the back.

This weeks episode wasn't all that really. They could easily have fitted all of what they produced in that one episode in about 15 minutes.

Hopefully as the episodes lessen it'll start to pick up some pace.

They could very well be the skeletons Jack and Hurley saw in the cave.

It is if you've read the religious texts :p

Well names have been quite important haven't they? They have been used to accentuate characters. Somebody has to replace Jacob right? No matter what happens? MIB cannot leave the island either or the world will end according to Widmore. I just don't want it to be Jack because that's far too predictable. It's actually looking as though it might be Desmond now but is he even a candidate?

There is always a duality and I think Sun/Jin are another example of this.

What do you guys think will happen to Ben? He's seemingly playing the good guy now so that would put him against Flocke. But Widmore's against Flocke and Ben hates Widmore. Maybe it'll be like a triple threat match!

Me and my mate decided, while watching Gary Neville forget how to play football, that it would be hilarious if it all turned out to be a dream that Vincent the dog was having, and that the sideways timeline was their way of showing it eventually.

It obviously won't happen, but the backlash would be brilliant.

Widmore and Ben do have a shared interest in the island though...I think they'll kiss and make up not literally - that would be wierd

Yeah 'I think it'll be a matter of working together for the greater good.

That woman working for widmore isn't a very good actress, I find her strangely attractive though.

1) That would be shit.
2) There would be mass suicide amongst Losties which would probably make it brilliant.
