We will lose because we are shit at home.

Don't think so. You lost one home game the whole season - Derby, Home + Top 4 Chances.
I think United will get a point and sadly it will help Liverpool to win the league.

Best bet for me is Newcastle away, close to a potential CL semi final.

Just imagine Liverpool win the league AND the Champions League.

We almost lost to Arsenal at home for crying out loud! We generally haven't been good against the top teams at home in all competitions.

Spurs, Juve, PSG and Barca.

I think we'll try to win but whether we'll be able to is a different matter altogether.

City still are in the driver's seat, but they're really going to have to earn it. Spurs, United, Leicester, etc. Liverpool have dross besides Wolves, and even that's at home.

I think they drop points against Cardiff, provided Cardiff doesn't lose to Brighton midweek.

*He says, and is quoted next week after Liverpool win 5-0

Cardiff A - easy win
Huddersfield H - 5-0 win at least
Newcastle A - Rafa to give them the win
Wolves H - the only tough game yet, and it probably won't even matter if City feck up

Sigh :(

On a scale of 1 to infinity, how glorious would it be if Liverpool lost to a Newcastle outfit led by none other than Prophet Rafa?

There is very little I wouldn't offer to make this dream a reality.

Assuming City draw 1 to put them level again and win their remaining games by 1 goal, they'll have a GD of +68. Liverpool will need increase their GD by 12 to overtake them. Essentially they would have to win every game by 4 goals, which will be tough. Unless they spank Huddersfield 9-0 or something

A draw leaves City a point behind, unfortunately.

Lads - make peace with the idea the scousers are going to win it.

My way of dealing with it is that accepting that they have to win it some day - they've got the financial backing and they've got a big following, they can't not win the league forever - it destined to happen eventually unless they go bankrupt or something. In some ways therefore it might be a relief??

Also, maybe Klopp/their best players will feck off quicker if they win it.

We ain't throwing the City game by the way, we're all about the money and the Champions League is worth way too much to us - certainly more than any historical rivalry.

They're getting 97 points. If we can beat that and win the league that will be 198 points and probably title of best team in the pl ever. Unlikely though.

I think we will blink and theyll win it. Well deserved too even if they've been lucky at times. To put up almost 100 pts with jordan Henderson in your team is like getting 200 without him.

I dont think their bottle can be questioned even if they do slip up. The thoughts of not winning the league with 95+ points is mental and any team who does it cant be bottlers.

Chelsea and Arsenal are pretty crap so I see us getting Top 4 even with a loss to City so we better bloody lose to City

Any chance Wolves might give them a game if they need Europa league qualification?

Someone to do a Gerrard against City?
Herrera would be perfect for this, a parting gift leaving the club

With so few games left and a squad like theirs, the fact its still in their hands is a massive advantage for City. You wouldnt swap places with Liverpool if your City.

Wolves will give us a game anyway. Their record against the top 6 is amazing, and no-one wants to end the season with a shite last game.

I'm not convinced, think Cardiff will be the only team with anything left to play for and we all know where they are headed. Do you hope City keep going in the champions league rather than crash out?

Looking at the fixtures you would. I thought City were in complete control today against Palace even whe Palce got it back to 1-2, but I just don’t like the fact that city have Spurs and Leicester.
Feck feck feckety feck I expected more from those rent boys in blue today!

Yeah I have to admit, getting 198 points would make you the best PL team of all time.

I don't really mind. I just hope the CL continues to be entertaining. If anything, I'd probably prefer Spurs to win just because it'd be nice to see em do well.

Exactly what i was thinking. In all likelihood one of City and Liverpool will get 90+ points and not win the league! Insane - when did it happen last in the league?

Never - there was the Aguero season, both teams finished on 89.
08/09 was the previous record before that season for runners up, we hit 86 but of course Man Utd won the title with 90.

Think the record for most points without winning the league is Madrid, season 09/10, when they finished with 96 - 3 pts off Barca.

Finishing 2nd with 97 pts would probably be a record in Europe, not only the top leagues. Still, chances are 97 pts would win them the league. And, tbf, they wouldn't be unworthy champions if it happens.

Can't see city winning all their games. Hopefully spurs can knock city out of CL.

Hope I am wrong but it's their year with everything pretty much going their way in 2019.

I have no doubt. Liverpool will win the Premier League. They will win the rest of the games in PL. And what is even worse, I have them as favorites for a CL and PL double.

Jordan Henderson looking much better, & is far more effective, playing in an advanced midfield role. Looked really good in this role when he first came to the club. Don't know why he's spent so long playing in a deeper, more defensive, position. Maybe his injuries, & a lack of a defensive midfielder, had something to do with it. Be good if he can start chipping in with a few goals again.

Yes, its odd. I thought back to that season recently. If we hadn’t of lost our heads against Everton, and had that weird late season result against Wigan we would have had 94 points. The game against City would have been meaningless and we might of got another 1-3 points. Looking back at all the premier league seasons we were not a 94-97 points team that season!

Fergie did really well to build a Premier League points machine towards the end of his career, even though Glazernomics were in full force.

Think they'll comfortably beat United I'm sorry to say. They're a significantly better side, with a significantly better manager. Think we'll have to rely on a Gerrard type slip up in one of their other games if we're to have any chance of bettering them in the run-in.

Seeing city continue to win all their games is agony though. I am desperate for them to drop points.
