Obviously you don't want us to win the title. But, United fan dreaming about City going top , really? Surely you'd want Spurs/Chelsea

We have as much chance of winning the league as Chelsea! Spurs have zero chance of winning the league, they are not in a title race. It's City or Liverpool, and there shouldnt be a single Utd fan who would choose Liverpool.

Being realistic here. The only team capable of stopping Liverpool from getting that 19 is Citteh.

Spurs is a bottler, Chelsea has calamity Morata upfront.

We rather give City the title while we're in dormant mode.

I'd really like to see Spurs win it but it's just not happening sadly. I can't think of any way that they could get more points in the second half of the season, they just slip up too often.

If they'd played Fabinho from the start they could've won the game I reckon. Deserved to lose for being so cautious.

10 points.....now 4 points.
Some Liverpool fans who thought the title was in the bag, it's not in the bag quite yet.

Spurs bottled it, Chelsea were never in it, Arsenal gonna Arsenal and United got Jose'd. That only leaves City to save the day.

What part of 'anyone but Liverpool' do you not understand?

They've got Wolves away Monday night in the Fa cup, not exactly a walk in the park. Another loss would hurt.
Think we'll see at least five or six different starters compared to tonight's game, if not almost the whole starting XI.

If I was a Liverpool fan I’d be livid at Klopp and selection of Hendo and keeping him on all game. He didn’t let that team off the leash and it cost him big time.

Same. Thought it was really strange when Shaqiri came on for Mane instead of one of the midfield three.

It was never 10 points. Some Pool fans were unbearable today. Were talking as if the 3 points were in the bag before kick off as if it was their devine right to win! Good to see them lose only for that reason.

Liverpool just didn't have the luck today.

You guys see how Stones clear the ball? See how close the line is when he clear that ball. mannn, a bit of luck would let that went in for Liverpool.

And how tight Aguera goal was, very close to the bar of the net, then went in between Allison hand, very tight goal.

One thing I have to admit, City defense better, the clear the ball ALOT.

I thought City play better in this game than Liverpool.

But don't give up, there still 16 games left to play right? Liverpool still #1 standing on top as of right now. Just don't lose anymore game and Liverpool can still win the league this year.

That's a very favourable set of games. They won't care about going out of the FA Cup and apart from the last game they're all very winnable while City I'm sure have the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea

United away four days after Bayern is a nightmare fixture for them. I said they need to be at least five points clear going into the CL knockout rounds if they want a chance of winning so they'll need City to drop points before then. I do think Liverpool will win all of the next five league games and going out of the cup to Wolves would provably do them a favour.

Its ridiculous to lose your first game of the season in January and only be 4 points clear.

To be fair, most of the people who thought the title is already won by Liverpool were United fans.

It was before City played Southampton.

Newcastle and Everton away either side of Arsenal and Chelsea at home.

On paper it's a much more difficult set of fixtures but now they're out of their December slump they should be getting 10 points at least. They'll roll Arsenal and Chelsea over pretty comfortably in my opinion. Both overrated sides.

But Pep's a massive bottler and flop apparently. :wenger:

Either side would be running away with it any other season.

I think they'll win it. Would love to be wrong.

They were marginally better tonight for me. Harsh to lose, certainly.

5Live now talking up the Kompany Red with some help from the Kloppster.

Yeah probably. Could be risky though, you don't want to lose 2 in a row regardless of what competition.
Yeah sure it is, but I doubt it'll change the believe or mindset. It's even risky at all to "throw" the FA Cup, but I don't want to see it hinder our title challenge honestly. We'll see come May whether it was the right decision but even if we come up short against City I won't be thinking about a missed shot at the FA Cup.

That’s what it was for us in 2010/11. And we made it to February!

Went 25 games unbeaten and then lost to Wolves, leaving us only four points clear of Arsenal.

We drew plenty. But eventually won the league by 9 points.

Not even looking at that wolves game. Only have eyes for Brighton. Really need a good win there. For wolves I hope we set out as:

Mig, Clyne, Lovren, youngster, Moreno, Henderson, Keita, Fab, Shaq, Sturridge, Origi.

No treble then ?

One small step for City. One giant leap for mankind.

It would be a failure if Liverpool fail to win the title from here. I've read 3 or 4 different stats setting out how every side who has gotten their points total by this stage has won the league and how most sides who are top by Christmas go on to win the league.

Surely they can't lose it from here?

We can and we have.
