Liverpool - 2017/18

Are you about that Nike thing? We've seen it all before, this summer actually. I'm quite tired of this dirty tactics. Wonder if we manage to find something and report Barca just after Atletico did. May actually get them a ban, teach them a lesson.
I hope so. Don't get me wrong, seeing Liverpool lose Coutinho would be nice as it weakens a rival team. But Barca is among my most hated teams, I cannot stand them and if it wasn't for Messi I would probably dislike them more than I already do. Doing all this dodgy tapping up and trying to unsettle transfer targets while also being the most sanctimonious cnuts across all of sports is pathetic. Don't know how plausible it is they get a ban for it but it'd be great if it panned out that way.

Liverpool fans moaning about Barca tapping up Coutinho, Barca fans moaning about PSG tapping up Neymar is one of the biggest hypocritical thing in football.

And Liverpool tapping up VVD

Apart from City, Liverpool for me are the most improved team in the league. I hate saying it but their attacking style is superb and once they get the defence sorted and a good keeper they are a serious threat, maybe not to City over a full season, but more dynamic than us, Chelsea and anybody else. .

Liverpool will demand an astronomical fee for Philippe Coutinho before they consider the sale of the Brazilian to Barcelona after the Spanish side’s shirt manufacturers were guilty of an extraordinary marketing blunder.

no smoke without fire

With his performances so far this season and that blunder by Nike, we'll be asking for near what they received for Neymar. I don't think we'll get it but our starting price should be that high

with stuff like this you would expect approx price to be agreed long ago

Well that fire was doused in the Summer and I expect the same this window with us fighting for Top 4 and a possible run in the CL (which Coutinho couldn't play in if he leaves now). Gone in the Summer of course.

Turns out, with Van Dijk deal Liverpool's squad cost now equals Chelsea's, which is around 450m. And that's not counting what they spent on Keita and tribunal fee they are yet to pay for Solanke.

Ah but does it include the 227 players out on loan ?

Jon Flanagan charged and pleaded guilty to drunkenly assaulting his girlfriend....
Disgusting, surely he will get fired for gross misconduct and tarnishing the clubs name

District Judge Wendy Lloyd said she had been given a breakdown of the CCTV, which showed Flanagan assaulting his partner on "several occasions" and kicking her at one point.

Pathetic behaviour. That should be him done at the club now.

If VVD and Keita work out for them and they successfully replace Coutinho, and to be fair to them their scouts seem to be getting it right with attackers anyway, then they could really challenge next season. Next season should be a lot tighter than this one with 5 teams capable of winning it.

What happened to him? I remember a few years ago when he got his first few games thinking he looked pretty decent. Would think that Liverpool must sack him now, completely reprehensible behaviour.

Injuries and not pushing on from his initial potential, would have made an ok back up option but we have plenty of better players in his position now. Yeah he's gotta go after this.

If it wasn't for the FA deliberately ordering match officials to negatively influence matches towards Liverpool we'd be 4 points ahead of City in the league by now.

Is Sport.es from Catalunya reliable? They are claiming that Alexis Sanchez could replace Coutinho in Liverpool.

If he wanted to play for a team of perennial underachievers, scrapping for top 4 and winning feck all, he may as well stay at Arsenal.

Well, i watch majority of their games for entertainment reasons and by what i saw they are few players(DM/another CB/full backs) from fighting even for the Champions League.

Coutinho done it seems.

Liverpool will receive an upfront payment of £112M and further add-ons & guaranteed payments making the deal worth a potential £158M. Source AS.

Makes the Mahrez transfer seem even more likely as I can't see us doing one without the other in place.

Where would Mahrez play? He plays in the same position as Salah.

Mahrez can play either left or right wing and Salah can also play centre. Coutinho played more games at LW so a like for like replacement in that regard. However our forward line is very fluid so it's not really an issue where he plays.

Apparently Liverpool contacted Leicester to tell them they have no interest in Mahrez.
How insulting is that?!
I do not fancy you and you hold no physical appeal to me...
Nice to meet you by the way.

Let us hope they don't do the wise thing with part of that money from Barca and go ahead and buy a proper DM.

Long may Hendo la last.

Aren't you great ! My hero. Did you just waste your time trying to find someone to quote ? Awesome !

Nope.

I hadn’t checked this thread in a while and it showed on my Watched Threads feed. When I went to latest unread post it was that one from just one page back. :D

To be fair, it wouldn’t take me long to find a post of yours when you were wrong.

And vice versa I'm sure.
