Liverpool - 2017/18

Not interested in talking about other clubs. Goes on to talk about other clubs.

Not interested in talking about Manchester United. Goes on to talk about Manchester United.
I was willing to give the raving hypocrite a clean slate. But it's so early in the season to be so bitter already.

Jose's record in finals vs Klopp's is no contest. Let him first win a trophy with Liverpool and then talk. It shouldn't be hard to win atleast a domestic cup with that squad.

Can't believe I actually wanted this guy at United once. Such a sore loser who hams it up for the cameras. Gurning pashun merchant who is a serial finals bottler.

Got no time for Dortmund too, after their cringey lovefest with Liverpool when they faced each other in the EL.

In a cup final, it doesn't matter who you face. In any case, Ajax are not that far below Emery's Sevilla. Jose's tactics in finals often snuff out opponent's threats completely which makes them look easier than they are.

We won the league cup and EL last season, right after Liverpool bottled both. Its' almost poetic, come to think of it.

I'm pretty sure all Jose said was that they'd find it harder now they have european football too.

It was. Absolutely nothing to do with Ajax/Sevilla really.

Bit surprised Klopp didn't say '5 times la' at the end.

He fits the bill at Liverpool. Delusion must be their #1 critierion when looking for a manager. Klopp is the perfect fit, never liked him at Dortmund and at Liverpool it's even worse than before.

Exactly. He said all top 6 clubs are in Europe so Liverpool and Chelsea won't be having advantage of playing only once per week. Not surprised with Klopp's comments though. He us weired one.

Mane, Can and Robertson all likely to feature in the next warm up game in Germany this weekend, Milner has picked up an injury.

We could have Mother Theresa managing us and the theme on RC would be .. sanctimonious bitch ! It comes with the turf with every comment distorted or exaggerated to fit the theme. And same goes for us and Mourinho or whoever else is the United manager of the moment.

Not really for me. When a manager acts stupid and says something stupid, I have no problem seeing it and talking about it, whether he manages us, Liverpool or any other team. Mourinho isn't an angel and I perfectly understand why he is hated by so many (I cannot personally I'm his biggest fan but he's the manager now so I have to accept it). Klopp is a joke, thinks he is way better than he is.

Only because he wasn't a top club, everyone rated him over the starters back then. Plenty of England's top players have been neglected by the national side, see Barnes, Hoddle etc while they fielded cloggers who regularly got out played by Ireland.

Think you are wrong Le'tiss was a special talent no doubt but he wasn't better than Shearer who was top dog back then. He also had Liniker, Fowler, Les, sheringham, Owen, Cole even Warhurst and Sutton had exceptional seasons to compete against at some stage. The quality around back then was scary compared to the national team nowadays.

Has Solanke featured much? I saw he scored a couple of games ago.
I think at the moment we are still playing mostly two teams per match (not against Leicester where some players were given 60 mins) but we limited in the number of players we could take to HK to comply with the rules. He's getting pitch time and has done quite well most of the time. There is a little bit of Sturridge about him in the way he can create space to get a shot off.

Quite right, some of the comments about Klopp are ridiculous, people act like they know and have met him!
That said, I don't want our rivals to like him, that's what it's supposed to be like but at least if people do criticise at least have some method and reason for doing it.
You honestly think there's no reason for that? Look at the comments he makes on weekly basis. Honestly Brendan Rodgers had more class, and "character" than this guy. And thats ofcourse based on him as a manager and not as a person per se.

Klopp having another United based meltdown and we are still in preseason.

Wonder if the daft bastard is still rambling on about the Ibrahimovic goal as well.

Well apparently you are all correct because he is a "knobhead" an "idiot" and as per the previous poster a "b&stard" too. The latter poster is mostly ignored by LFC fans on here anyway but to call him that is just a step too far!

Welcome to Redcafe the home of the literate genius's.

Well he acts like that quite frequently since he became your manager. Cant judge him as a person outside of football though.

First it was Pogba's transfer fee and this season Liverpool made bids in that region for a CB and a midfielder who had 1 good season.
Offside goals
Now we faced Ajax and they faced Sevilla, as if Sevilla are Madrid or barca level. Leicester dealt with them in CL this season. Deluded cnut.

As Rafa says he has featured quite a bit, but given the chopping and changing you get in pre-season it's hard to really judge.
Overall he has done okay and looked sharp, keen to impress obviously, definitely looks like a good addition to the squad and will be interesting to see how much game time he gets this season.

Can we keep the Klopp comments in the separate Klopp thread please, so we can talk about the club, results, players and performances in here.

Keita started following Mane and Firmino yesterday, fecking tease.

After you comment on him yourself? He is a huge part of your Klupp right?

Yes I include myself in that also, otherwise what's the point of having a separate thread on him?
This thread is becoming a bit of a tiresome Klopp slagging to which I probably should just stay away from, but having not done so it seems logical to post any such comments in the Klopp thread itself so sensible discussion can take place in this one.

We stay away from your RAWK thread so if we can keep this thread as reasonable for debate as possible it would be appreciated.

If you sign him for the rumoured fee he will make Paul Pogba look an absolute steal!
Prices over different seasons are pointless to compare... You can't say Ronaldo was a steal for Real because more players are going for such fees right now. Of course €83m is way too much but I won't give a toss if we do sign him.

By the way onceeeee again it's not a Liverpool fan who starts talking about Pogba in this thread, getting a bit tiresome tbh.

Well if you don't like the forum you know where the door is.

Keita is worth no where near that amount. He's achieved nothing in the game to warrant it and you would be massively over paying.

After all the stick United took for bringing Pogba home it's only right you and your gaffer are pulled on such a ridiculous over spend.

I get your sentiment but the posts come from the official Liverpool press-conference posted in this thread, so it isnt really strange that comments on that and replies on those comments are being made here right?

It was only one season ago. Luiz was sold to PSG for 50m before that. Stones signed for City for 50m then too. Chelsea had apparently been ready to bid 100m for Pogba a season before ours. Silly prices were being thrown around then as much as now.

To answer in United fan fashion: what's the problem if we can afford it? :)

And I do like the forum but I don't like discussing Pogba or his fee in the Liverpool thread.

I'm discussing Keita (the guy you all won't stop harping on about) and his fee. Surely this is the place to do that given you lot are obsessed with the man?

I'm pretty sure Leipzig have denied that Keita has a release clause in his contract for next summer.

Ings back in full training, hope the lad can at least stay fit , he deserves some luck.
