Apparently CanalPlus have said Fekir to Liverpool is 99% done. Thoughts?
Good if true. Keita, Fekir - those are caliber of players I want us mostly to be after. Someone who has shown his strengths already, but not yet at their peak and glory. Someone we can still improve or influence to fit us more. And not crazy expensive.Apparently CanalPlus have said Fekir to Liverpool is 99% done. Thoughts?
If Fekir really is joining then thank God that 1) he has chosen to play for Algeria over France and 2) they're not in the world cup. Our current front three are going to be shattered by August.
Was the United Liverpool game in 05 the one where Silvestre scored twice from two corners?2005:

+ 2005 we wore Red and beat a team in white. The Ataturk was an Olympic stadium.
In 2018, Madrid will wear white and the final is in an Olympic stadium.
It's obviously going to happen. Liv winning the CL, not you dying. Plus I'm at a stag party next week with a bunch of unsufferable Liverpool supporting dickheads, it's going to be such a lovely time.Kill me.

If Fekir is done, really good signing. Wonder how he'll fare in the PL but I rate him highly. Annoyed they've got him.
I've lost all faith in football haram, I know deep down how this going to pan out.Real will do it! Believe!

Apparently we’re the last team to beat Madrid in a European Cup final and that was in 81. People are reversing the 81 and using it as some sort of sign.So many of those floating around. fecking weird shit
Good. When there's enough prophecy bollocks it inevitably backfires and the arbitrarily predicted event does not happen, which proves that all is well and random in the world. Basically this means Liverpool will definitely lose.Apparently we’re the last team to beat Madrid in a European Cup final and that was in 81. Two of those haven't played for them yet and VVD isn't worth close to 75mFekir signing for Liverpool will somehow top VVD which somehow topped Keita. Hang on...what about Mane...and Salah?!
So much right by LFC in the transfer market these days.

Yeah, at this point i'll be happy if you don't humiliate us. Congrats, champion of europe+ 2005 we wore Red and beat a team in white. The Ataturk was an Olympic stadium.

I answered it in the post you quoted. If we lose the final, it's still been a good season imo. Even if we lose, we, the fans as a group, are behind the manager.Same answer for you:
If you lose the CL then the season is not very good is it?!
Fourth in the league and no silverware and still running after the elusive Premier League?!
Yeah, at this point i'll be happy if you don't humiliate us. Congrats, champion of europe
If Moreno is on the pitch I'll need a caf pool supporters helpline.Lovren's gonna keep Ronaldo in his pocket. Super-sub Moreno is gonna blitz past Ramos & do a cheeky little dink over Navas for our 4th. Modric is gonna get outplayed in midfield by TAA after we lose another first choice midfielder to injury. Karius is going to keep a clean sheet with a DDG level performance.
Prepare yourself!
He wasn’t your best player at all give it a rest jesus

Obviously I'm aware of that small fact. Thanks for pointing it out all the same.
As for your question, no, it wouldn't make it better or worse. Cup finals by there very nature are unpredictable at best. Yes, Real Madrid are a vastly superior team to that of Liverpool, but that doesn't mean the latter won't draw a surprise. To a lesser extent Chelsea are weaker than United, again, that doesn't mean they aren't more than capable of beating us. They are.
As said in a previous post, making vast improvements on our league position was imminently more pressing a priority than enjoying a cup run. Thus winning or losing that final will make little to no difference in terms of whether our season would be considered acceptable. At least in the eyes of our owners and all those associated with the club. The fans may feel differently.
Who are you currently being linked to and how much do you expect Liverpool to spend over the summer?
I answered it in the post you quoted. If we lose the final, it's still been a good season imo. Even if we lose, we, the fans as a group, are behind the manager.
The reason why, is because there is progress in the development of the team. We play as a unit and get the best out of the players we've got, and I believe the team are better than the sum of its parts.
We lost Coutinho, one of our top players, in january, and we haven't missed him at all. The team has arguably performed better since Coutinho left. To me, the team is the star, and it looks like our players can adapt to our style and perform in our system.
Sure we need better players in certain areas to really challenge, and our squad is paperthin. But I can't see anything that suggests our manager doesn't know what to do. And he has gotten nearly all his transfers right until now.
If we've had a good season or not, can be measured in the optimism among the fans looking at next season, and I have yet to see a Liverpool fan, who isn't optimistic and fully behind the manager. And that won't change whether we win or lose the final.
Silverware? Yeah.. That would be really nice. Let's see if he can bring that in the next couple of years. In the meantime, I'm enjoying our football.
Watching the game vs Villarreal last night - you played an extremely high line. I pray that this is the case next week.
I believe it when you say, that Manchester United still has the right formula, and that the fans are happy and patient. Good for you. This place must be filled with threads worshipping your team and manager.I haven't seen lots of optimism throughout the season from Liverpool fans especially after a 'slip-up' or two.
They were very critical and many were baying for heads to fall - so the CL might be a saviour for the club, manager and players.
United have had 26 great years under SAF and we're still getting the right formula for success under Jose and therefore we can wait patiently until that time comes.
Thirteen (13) Premier Leagues and much more keep us happy for now seeing that there are many, many Liverpool fans who NEVER EVER saw their team win the Premier League.
