Liverpool 2014/15 | WARNING: Contains strong amounts of Scouse nonsense

Thank feck we`ve still got to play Liverpool , Arsenal and Spurs . At least it`s still in our own hands to take points off them .
You make that sound like it's a good thing we still have to play them.

Way I see it is we ave 8 winnable games Home: Villa, WBA, Spurs, and Arsenal Away: C Palace, Newcastle, Hull, and Everton, and 3 games we are likely to lose Liverpool, City, and Chelsea.

We're bound to lose at least two, and draw one of the 'winnable' games so that's 16 points from them, and we are likely to win one of the hard games so that's another 3 points, which would put us on 69 points, will it be enough i'm not so sure.

Liverpool look like a problem again. Fs!

Hats off to Brendan, though. He's really transformed their season.
Yeh as much as it pains me to say it carragher was spot on about rodgers .
He's found a system that suits the players at his disposal !
It just shows that a 3 5 2 or whatever Liverpool's playing at the moment can be entertaining and you can create lots of chances . It helps when you have pace and hunger as well , something United seem to be sadly lacking .

How the feck did SEP get promoted? He's goddamnawful.
Absolutely. Here and in the match thread the vast majority of posters gave Liverpool their due but then you always have those that can't see beyond their bias.

Like last season all over again, they're all showing up again.

Christ, this place will be fecking unbearable if we finish behind them.

Dumped at of the champions league in the group stage , out of europa straight away and 5th in the league , excellent .

If people excuse LVG for not knowing the PL, I think Rodgers can be excused for not making themost out of his first season in the CL. Especially as he had to cope with the departure of his best player, and a lengthy injury to the best left.

Shows how often you visit this thread .. because there are no Liverpool fans here now that have not been here all season.

Interesting logic - he bottled it in the EPL last season and bottled it in Europe this season. Don't need science there is a consistency of bottling it.

:lol: To be fair there is a health warning in the title of this thread.

Don't think there's any PL managers that can hold their head up high when it comes to the CL over the past 2 or 3 seasons. Would like him to hopefully build a side that challenges for English honours first. Anything else after that will be a bonus.

Your lot were pretty flat for the first 10, lucky with the post, and very square for the City goal. If you read what I wrote I still gave your lot the benefit of the doubt, but they couldn't get much worse after mid week.

I read what you wrote alright.
"Both sides looked worn down by their Europan games" -

I thought we would be lacklustre today, but clearly on the evidence of the game itself we weren't. As others have you can't look past club bias.

You guys are just unlucky that he only ignores Bayern fans, not Liverpool fans. I feel more blessed by the minute.

Liverpool are now back in the situation they were in last season, having longer to rest and prepare for league games, plus a bigger squad than last season with more rotational options, meaning the high intensity pressing may become more regular and last longer during games, which is hugely positive.

I imagine around 72 points will get fourth, 24/33 for Liverpool, 22/33 for United, 21/33 for Arsenal. With Arsenal's fixtures, you have to fancy them to reach that target.

I'd say making the SF is a very decent achievement for Jose last season

Just got back from the game, not sure what you are on about - considering the late return from the midweek game our energy levels were fantastic.

Allen for example looked exhausted at the end of the game on Thursday, I thought he was excellent today.

I'll double the complement, B20's not wrong there.

All this brings Denis Healey to mind: a bit 'like being savaged by a dead sheep.'

Didn't you say you wanted a Liverpool win, no?

Ironic, it seems I misread your post at the end, apologies. But still, dream? I pretty much detest Liverpool, man. They are just not alone there, City and Chelsea are in company.

I anyway changed my mind and hoped for a draw later. -6 +4 would be better than -5 +2 what is now.

After today I'm really struggling to see how we can finish ahead of either Liverpool or Arsenal. Both playing much better than us and both with easier fixtures. Its 2 from us, Arsenal and Liverpool as far as I am concerned, and I make us the least favourite out of those three.

We don't deserve to finish ahead of either. If we do, it will be at the expense of Arsenal, our final home game against them could be crucial. Then again we will drop plenty of points between now and the end of season, not sure they will too...
