Saturday Night Spies
But they won the passing.2-2, the only stat that means anything.

Apparently, Rodgers has said their performance today was better than the 5-1 last season in the same fixture. Seriously?
Even I've won more than Rodgers then, woohoo!Congratulations, you win the bronze prize.
A bit of chatter from genuine ITKs that Can is a horrible trainer hence he's not getting the opportunities on match day. That doesn't really jive at all with what Sami said about him though so who knows. Can isn't the quickest off the mark either (but a powerful runner when he gets going...). ............... and it's even more frustrating that the same is happening now with Emre Can.
Not really anything more to say if the significance of those stats went right over your head.2-2, the only stat that means anything.

Yet again a total fail. Give up, it's embarrassing. It would seem my point has gone over yours.
The stats are insignificant, as an example 65% possession is meaningless when you can only score as many as the team with 35%. Your own stats in this match should be explanation enough that they do not matter. Because you drew 2-2 in it.
Heard the same rumours. Even if they are true, I don't think it should matter too much. Obviously you can't ignore training performances but give me a crap trainer who turns up in actual games over someone who trains well but plays shite.
Can has played well in his brief appearances. That should earn him more playing time.
But after our performances today, Bournemouth and Utd, he has a battle come back into that midfield. Training hard is the only way. Unless he fancies defending, keeping or scoring tons of goals up front in which case he can walk into those positions without any training.
That's not what I'm annoyed about, although I don't think it'd be hard for him to be an improvement on Gerrard or Allen in recent games. What pisses me off is that he's played 15 minutes (plus whatever amount of minutes he got against Bournemouth) since the Chelsea game. A game in which he was probably our best player.
How can you expect signings like that to be a success when you drop them after good performances? It's the same with Manquillo and to a lesser extent Alberto Moreno.
Yet again a total fail. Give up, it's embarrassing.
I'm with Barney. His ball control was good as always but I think too often he held on to it for 2 or 3 touches too many. He really needs to learn to release the ball quicker because it's stopping him from performing at a higher level.
Liked his work off-the-ball, though. He pressed well.
Why is the new Fabregas(barneys description) Suso not getting a chance?
He's been good, maybe better than Gerrard/Allen like you say. But if we start giving preferential treatment to bad trainers then it sends the wrong signal to others working hard.
Obviously, if he was mind blowingly good like Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo, etc, then no one would care if he didn't train. But he's not.
Gerrard was utter wank.
Maybe I just expect more. I thought he wasn't very good.He wasn't at all.
Just pretend it doesn't exist !We more or less played Arsenal off the park.
I'm pleased we've reverted once more to a fluid, attacking game rather than the shit we were serving up a few weeks ago, but we really, really need some finishers in the side.
Glad Lallana and Markovic are starting to show some quality. Don't even know what to say about our defence anymore.
*bangs head against wall* Clue : try thinking out of the box - like maybe a 90 degree tangent to where you are now, instead of finding different ways to say the same thing over and over !Your attempts to be intellectually superior are for sure.
The fact that you out passed, and out possessed arsenal and yet still didnt win should tell even a halfwit that stats are relatively meaningless in the grand scheme of things in football. Its about putting the ball in the net. Whether you take 300 passes or 2 to accomplish it doesnt matter. You get no points for winning the number of passes.
He took a while to settle down, not exactly unusual for a new arrival to the country and the league and for someone who doesn't speak English. He did make an error or two but nothing anywhere near as poor as Skrtel/Lovren though communication may have been an issue. Another potential problem is that he prefers to play at LCB the same as Lovren. I've always liked him, he looks very 'deliberate' on the ball which some fans equate to cumbersome, however his passing stats are very good and he can tackle too. He was great at the World Cup and was keeping Mangala (not looking so hot at City) out of the France team, so we know he's a very capable player. BR though seems to have made Lovren/Skrtel his preferred duo until recently. Why has BR not been playing Sakho? (I know he was injured, but before that). Looks like Liverpool's best CB.
His workrate is always brilliant. I like Lallana and think he's been a very good signing so far, but don't think he performed well today.
Injured. Sadly don't think he'll get many chances with us. He should leave if he wants to reach his potential because he can go on and be a brilliant player.
How did you know I called him that? I didn't say he was the new Fabregas, I said he'd reach his heights, but was that not in the newbs?
Not. Atletico Madrid is the rumour.Bringing back Torres? Surely not.
It would seem my point has gone over yours.

Tbf, they tell you quite a lot -
They tell you Liverpools attack and defence is pretty poor. Or they heavily suggest it at least.
Not exactly surprising or new information but would suggest their midfield or general system is ... functional at least.
Im not sure sturridge will make that drastic a difference.
It gives them one goalscorer but one really isn't enough, maybe in a cup competition but not in the league.
Sterling and Coutinho both look good players but neither look likely to score that many goals a season.
Low teens would be a good season for them normally i'd say.
Its hard to think of one striker who would really improve them but they really need 2 for some cover.
Sturridge is too important to his team for his injury record.
That bbc tweet a page back is exactly the kind of thing we started seeing about this point last season.
The points total for fourth will probably be quite low this season but i just cant see liverpool making it.
Do you remember, or partook in, the Race For Fourth thread around November time last year? In the Main Utd Forum?
Ah good times. I had such a hard time contributing in it for months without getting banned. Never been so restrained.
