Liverpool 2014/15 | WARNING: Contains strong amounts of Scouse nonsense

Finally a bit of luck goes Liverpool's way. A Stevie G injury next and they'll be flying.

You've rubbed up against it now you have to deal with it! :D

As for Cech, surely its a no brainer loan deal to us for Mourinho. Specially if we agree to a clause that they can have him back asap if Courtois gets injured (would the FA allow that, it is a loan after all?) And Cech must be itching to get back into regular premiership action, at Liverpool he has less than zero competition, i.e. he could have two broken hands and would still be picked ahead of current keepers.

But I've heard elsewhere we've already signed Ochoa (Mexican keeper) for 3 million. So Cech is unlikely.

I think Mourinho will only let him go if you table a proper bid (say £20m) or offer a large loan fee (say £5m).

It's pretty obvious that Mourinho is willing to let players that he classes as second choice leave for the right money (Mata, Luiz, Lukaku, Ba, De Bruyne), in order for him to build the squad he wants. I would hazard a guess that Cech would be no different.

However judging by Liverpool's MO of opting for the cheaper, poorer option I imagine you'll be looking at the likes of Ochoa.

Unless our form dramatically picks up before the January window then there'll be no point paying big money for a loan deal unless there's an option to buy. If 4th is still within reach then it'd be fine but otherwise it's a waste of money for a half season that may as well be scrapped.

Unless it could potentially help you win the EL, since that'll be your main focus if 4th is out of reach.

True, I suppose. Would he be cup tied though? I always forget how that works when a player moves from a CL to EL team.

Ah yeah, could be, depending on who it is you go for. Might not be the case in the EL, but never thought about that for you when I made the suggestion. Only other move would be Rodgers finding some sort of gem who's been undiscovered, but his transfer record so far and as of late makes the chances of that relatively small.

Please let Bournemouth win tonight. I need the RAWK meltdown thread to pick up again.

The Times are saying our interest in Milner is very strong still and his contract expires this summer. They are also saying that Sturridge will be training with our owner's base ball team.

Rumours of Cech and Cabaye on loan persist.

So...team was as rumoured only Marković starts instead of Alberto Moreno.

He must be left wing back? Baffled

There will be no meltdown I hazard. It will just be part 1 of Brendan's leaving do. Final nail on Sunday.

If that is the team against Bournemouth we are going to get knocked out. Playing Gerrard a third time in a week and next to Lucas in a midfield two is the worst possible way to handle Gerrard. If we are playing a 3-4-3, we don't need a defensive midfielder. Awful. Markovic at left back is idiotic, should play him in the front three and let Moreno gain some confidence back. Rodgers really has outdone himself here. Lovren keeps his fecking place.

It's understandable to do when chasing a game and the player he replaced was poor. Starting him there is another story.

Has he finally lost you Barney?

Just seen the full line up

Arsenal at the weekend and he's fielding a full strength team, most of whom played 3 days ago.

KRAP!

Why the feck are all of Lallana, Sterling, feckin Gerrard, Coutinho and Henderson starting? well at least he's resting Balotelli

Are Can and Manquillo injured or something? Seriously baffling but I don't mind. With that line up they have to win this match and don't have any excuses for the Arsenal match. Top management from Rodgers. Wenger must be loving it.

I know, that's why I guessed it. Still baffling though.

By the way, I meant that 'Hilarious' line in the context that Rodgers' lunacy is hilarious, not that I was making fun of either of you two's insight.

Nah, neither are injured. Rodgers just doesn't pick then if he can help it - Can has played 15 minutes since being our best player against Chelsea ages ago.

Mario is injured though, not rested.

Wish Rodgers would try:

Jones; Manquillo, Toure, Sakho, Moreno; Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho; Lallana, Sterling, Markovic.

Just once. If he did and it didn't work I would not question him again.

That'd be nice. Wouldn't mind if Can was squeezed in there somewhere too.

Can seems like another Alberto or Assaidi. Doesn't matter how good he is. Rodgers wasn't entirely on board with him signing so he will make a point of how wasted the money was on him by never giving him a chance to prove himself useful.

Not even in my most optimistic thoughts did I imagine we would be sitting and laughing at a liverpool lineup after we had already been dispatched 4-0 by MK Dons. What a season this has been!

Yeah, remember Can being pretty decent during the Real and Chelsea games. No idea why he doesn't get a run. Coutinho (even Henderson but he's your best midfielder regardless) hasn't been in the greatest form of late and Allen is well Allen. Decent at best.

Did Balotelli get injured again after playing United or is he still recuperating from injury and isn't fit to start a game?

The scenario with Can reminds me a bit of Nuri Sahin. Dumped by Rodgers whilst on-loan, then ended up playing for Dortmund in a CL final the same season.

So Markovic is LWB now?I know he was sent off vs Basel but no need to go that far in punishment.

Edit: Seems he is not after all
