They played well in the final 10 mins once they got some belief and energy after the goal, but were poor for most of the game. Very average.

Agreed. But fecking Fulham and Middlesbrough have reached the final of it before. Unlikely, but possible. It's not a competition that requires you to be the best in the world, even if the CL incentive may make it a bit more difficult to win.

If Sturridge returns and performs well, they've got a chance in it. And our comments here have a small chance of coming back to bite us on the arse. Still fun to see them go out though.
